AI Decision Control Forum Rotterdam, Netherlands · Hybrid Volunteer · Part-time About the role AI Decision Control Forum is building a community focused on how organisations can maintain control, accountability and human oversight as AI systems become increasingly autonomous. We are looking for a Volunteer Programme & Events Coordinator to join our team and help coordinate Forum activities, events and engagement with experts, organisations and partners. You will work closely with the Founder to organise events, coordinate speakers and participants, support partnerships, and help develop the Forum's growing programme. Responsibilities Coordinate Forum events and activities Support venue and event logistics Coordinate speakers, experts and participants Communicate with potential partners and sponsors Manage event invitations and attendee information Maintain event schedules, timelines and task lists Support Forum communications and event promotion Help organise future roundtables, discussions and programmes Follow up with speakers, partners and participants Support the day-to-day coordination of Forum activities What we're looking for Highly organised and reliable Strong communication skills Proactive and able to work independently Comfortable coordinating with professionals and organisations Good attention to detail Interest in AI, technology, governance or organisational transformation Experience in events, project coordination, partnerships, communications or community building is a plus What you'll gain Experience working on an international AI-focused Forum Exposure to professionals and organisations across different sectors Experience in event and programme coordination Opportunities to build a professional network Experience working on discussions around AI governance and organisational AI control The opportunity to contribute to the growth of a new Forum from an early stage Commitment Part-time volunteer role Approximately 3–5 hours per week, with flexibility around major events. This is an ongoing role, not a short-term event assignment. Core Responsibilities
The coordinator will manage event logistics, speaker coordination, and partnership engagement to support the Forum's activities. They will also assist in developing the Forum's program and maintaining communication with stakeholders.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is highly organized, reliable, and possesses strong communication skills with a proactive approach. An interest in AI, technology, or governance is required, with previous experience in events or community building considered a plus.
