Job Description

The IDEXX Operations Finance team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (Supply Chain) who will be the Financial Business Partner to the Global Procurement group. This role owns the financial foundation of direct materials — cost setting, tariff and trade-cost modeling, reporting, and accounting — and translates it into insight that shapes sourcing strategy and margin outcomes. Why this role matters You will lead the investment cases and cost-reduction analytics behind Global Procurement's annual operating plan and long-range strategy, quantifying trade-offs across supplier, tariff, and make versus-buy decisions. You are a data-driven partner who is highly accountable, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to move from raw data to a clear recommendation leaders can act on. In This Role You will have ownership of your areas of the financial close, with emphasis on what the results mean rather than the mechanics. Responsibilities include building and analyzing reports in SAP and Excel, preparation and review of journal entries for accuracy, distribution of key reports, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. You will have a seat at the table as the finance partner to Global Procurement, influencing sourcing strategy, supplier negotiations, and tariff mitigation decisions. This includes providing timely and accurate financial insight and analysis of variances through monthly results reporting and financial planning cycles. You will also frame the business cases behind major sourcing and capital decisions, pressure-testing assumptions and recommending a course of action. You will have ownership of the Purchase Price Variance process end to end — explaining the operational and market drivers behind the numbers rather than only reporting them, partner with the Operations teams to proactively identify and correct costing issues and integrate latest projections into financial forecast planning cycles throughout the year. You have the ability to assist with Audit requirements and requests and ensure compliance with company policies while modeling the IDEXX Purpose and Guiding Principles. Support identification of gaps in financial controls and development of approaches to mitigate exposure. You will have a leading role in the annual Strategic Plan and Budget for Procurement: setting the cost assumptions, modeling scenarios, and building the analysis leadership relies on to commit to targets. You will get broad exposure across Operations Finance, partnering on cross-functional initiatives and rapid-turn analysis that shape decisions beyond Procurement. You will mandate to improve how the work gets done — automating reporting, strengthening data quality, and converting saved analyst capacity into higher-value analysis. What You Need To Succeed Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related concentration and an MBA, CPA, or CMA is preferred Proven track record as a finance business partner who has influenced business decisions, not simply supported them Ability to build discounted cash flow and scenario analysis supporting investment and sourcing decisions Experience building financial models for cost, capital, and make-versus-buy decisions Data driven with the ability to manipulate large amounts of data and provide analysis and insight to support Operational metrics and decision making. Detail oriented with a focus on ensuring accuracy and questioning of data analysis Analytical skills, problem solving and critical thinking abilities Ability to effectively manage priorities and multiple deliverables while meeting tight deadlines Ability to work independently but open to receiving guidance and direction as needed Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong Microsoft PowerPoint capabilities, including the ability to present analysis to senior leaders SAP system experience preferred Experience with Business Intelligence platforms preferred Exposure to procurement, manufacturing, or supply chain cost environments preferred Ability to build credibility with and influence senior stakeholders outside of Finance What You Can Expect From Us Base annual salary ranges between $106,000 - $117,000 USD / $80,000 - $87,000 EU, negotiable based on experience Opportunity for annual cash bonus On the job training & career advancement opportunities.
