Job Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Content Manager based in Netherlands.

This is a hands-on content leadership role focused on growing the organic visibility and business impact of two digital brands. You will own content strategy, editorial planning, production, optimization, and publication from end to end. The role combines people management with direct writing, editing, SEO, and website management responsibilities. You will work closely with writers, designers, developers, sales, operations, and subject-matter experts to deliver high-quality content. Your work will help improve search rankings, qualified organic traffic, customer inquiries, and conversion opportunities. The position offers significant ownership over content operations, SEO priorities, and long-term digital growth.

Accountabilities
  • Own and execute the content strategy and editorial calendar across both websites, prioritizing service pages, industry content, articles, case studies, landing pages, and other resources based on customer needs, search intent, and business objectives.

  • Manage writers and editors by recruiting talent, assigning detailed briefs, setting deadlines, reviewing work, providing feedback, and personally rewriting or improving content when required.

  • Oversee the full content lifecycle from research and assignment through editing, expert review, design, SEO validation, approval, publication, and ongoing optimization.

  • Manage website content through the CMS, ensuring pages are accurate, accessible, mobile-friendly, well structured, properly formatted, and equipped with effective metadata, links, imagery, and calls to action.

  • Lead SEO strategy and execution, including keyword and competitor research, content audits, search-intent analysis, keyword mapping, on-page optimization, internal linking, and performance monitoring.

  • Coordinate technical SEO initiatives with developers, including crawling, indexing, redirects, canonical tags, XML sitemaps, broken links, Core Web Vitals, structured data, migrations, and redesigns.

  • Manage ethical link-building and digital PR initiatives by identifying relevant publications, associations, partnerships, editorial opportunities, and resources capable of earning authoritative coverage.

  • Apply strong E-E-A-T principles by ensuring content is accurate, evidence-based, trustworthy, culturally and commercially appropriate, and supported by relevant expertise and credible sources.

  • Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate content and SEO workflows while maintaining human oversight, fact-checking, editing, and accountability for all published material.

  • Improve conversion performance by strengthening service explanations, calls to action, inquiry paths, registration flows, demonstration requests, and other customer journeys.

  • Collaborate with sales and operations to understand customer questions, objections, terminology, and purchasing decisions, using these insights to improve content and lead quality.

  • Maintain clear reporting on planned, assigned, reviewed, published, and optimized content, providing weekly updates and monthly performance reports using tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, and relevant SEO platforms.

  • Establish a dependable content operation through clear workflows, documentation, editorial standards, performance tracking, and continuous improvement.

  • Conduct an initial audit during the first 90 days, establish performance baselines, evaluate team capacity, address urgent SEO issues, improve priority pages, strengthen internal linking, and develop a roadmap for subsequent growth.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience managing website content and delivering measurable improvements in organic search performance.

  • Excellent English writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to create clear, persuasive, natural American English content.

  • Strong experience managing writers, editorial briefs, content calendars, deadlines, approvals, and publication workflows.

  • Practical knowledge of keyword research, on-page SEO, technical SEO, internal linking, content audits, search intent, and ethical link building.

  • Experience using analytics and SEO tools to diagnose performance issues, identify opportunities, and prioritize actions.

  • Experience working with a content management system and coordinating website content publication.

  • Strong organizational, project management, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with detailed hands-on execution, including researching, writing, editing, optimizing, and publishing content personally.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards for accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.

  • Experience working with website redesigns, migrations, multilingual websites, international audiences, or large-scale content launches is an asset.

  • Experience in translation, interpreting, localization, B2B services, healthcare, legal, government, or other sectors requiring careful factual review is an asset.

  • Experience with conversion optimization and collaboration with sales teams is an asset.

  • Availability for a dedicated full-time position and willingness to make a long-term commitment.

  • Consistent working-hour overlap with US Eastern Time is required.

Benefits

  • Full-time, dedicated remote position.

  • Remote work environment with flexibility around agreed working hours.

  • Opportunity to own content strategy and SEO operations across two websites.

  • Significant hands-on responsibility across content, SEO, analytics, conversion optimization, and website growth.

  • Opportunity to lead and develop a team of writers and editorial contributors.

  • Cross-functional collaboration with marketing, sales, operations, design, development, and subject-matter experts.

  • Long-term opportunity to directly influence organic visibility, qualified inquiries, and digital business performance.

  • Exposure to international audiences and multilingual digital content environments.

  • Opportunity to use modern SEO, analytics, CMS, and AI-assisted content tools as part of a structured growth strategy.

About Jobgether

Industry: Internet Marketplace Platforms

Company size: 11-50 employees

Jobgether is a career navigation platform built for senior professionals competing in the remote job market. Hiring systems were designed for volume and keyword matching, not for 15 or 20 years of nonlinear experience. That structural mismatch is why strong profiles get filtered out before a human ever sees them. Our platform diagnoses where a search is breaking, corrects how experience is positioned, and connects professionals to the companies where their background creates real value. The goal is not more applications. It is the right visibility in the right places. Our mission is to ensure no senior professional remains invisible in the global remote market, not because they lack the skills, but because the system failed to read them correctly.
