Job Description

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring a Dutch (NT2) Language Teacher to provide in-person lessons to our client in Eindhoven.

  • Location: Lessons are to be held either at the student's home on Sint Rochusstraat, 5611RE, OR at a public library cafe in Eindhoven

  • Preferred start date: Monday, September 28, 2026

Details

  • Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday between 10:00am - must be finished by 2pm

  • Lesson Frequency: Twice per week

  • Lesson Duration: 60 minutes per session

  • Current Dutch level: Complete beginner

  • Native language: English

  • Student’s language needs and goals: Being able to function. She enjoys going to the markets, and she wants to be able to purchase at the food stands, to speak with locals, even if it is elementary language. Ultimately, she would like to have enough vocabulary to know what is being said on the announcements at the train station, being able to navigate in small villages, etc. She expects to have a flexible teacher, so that together they can find a learning style that works for her.
     
  • Student's interests: She enjoys traveling and experiencing events in their new home. She also has two small childre that keep her busy. She was a Registered Nurse in the US, but is not working in the Netherlands, since she’s not fluent in the local language. She has a dog that she takes to the dog park, but struggles to interact with locals due to the language. She knows many people speak English, but she wants to make an effort.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons

  • Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes

  • Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals

  • Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications

  • Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language

  • Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field

  • Minimum of two years of teaching experience
