Frencken is looking for a Metrology Engineer to support our precision machining operations within a high-tech manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining measurement methods, ensuring dimensional accuracy of machined components, and supporting continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.

You will work closely with CNC Machining, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure products meet demanding customer specifications and industry standards.

This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in precision measurement, CMM programming, GD&T, and statistical process control within a machining environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain measurement methods for machined components.
  • Program and operate CMMs and other metrology equipment.
  • Perform dimensional inspections and validate products against specifications.
  • Analyze measurement data and support root cause investigations.
  • Create and maintain inspection plans and measurement programs.
  • Support process improvements, capability studies, and quality initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
  • Ensure calibration and proper use of measurement equipment.

What You Bring

  • MBO+/HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar.
  • Experience in metrology, quality, or precision machining environments.
  • Knowledge of CMM programming and dimensional measurement techniques.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and technical drawings.
  • Experience with SPC, MSA, or capability studies is a plus.
  • Analytical, accurate, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Good communication skills in English; Dutch is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
