Job Description
The Associate Manager Copy is responsible for crafting high-quality campaign, editorial and promotional copy that keeps Foot Locker at the forefront of the latest streetwear trends. The words you write will embody the Foot Locker Europe TOV, making all our communications resonate in a uniquely fresh, memorable, and persuasive way. Whether it's for digital platforms or retail, your copy will inspire and engage our audience, ensuring Foot Locker remains their go-to destination for all things sneakers.
Additionally, you’ll support the translations process, ensuring that every piece of translated content aligns with Foot Locker’s localized Tone of Voice (TOV). This involves collaborating with our in-house translations lead, briefing freelance translators, collaborating with our translation agency, and fine-tuning the final output to perfection. Your keen eye for detail and passion for consistency will ensure our message is just as impactful across all languages and regions.
Responsibilities
- Write content for Foot Locker.eu digital and retail
- Ensure all copy reflects Foot Locker’s tone of voice and stays current with the latest streetwear trends.
- Support in the evolution of our brand expression in partnership with our agency of record.
- Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to create cohesive and compelling content.
- Edit and proofread content to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
- Support the entire translation workflow from briefing to final review
- Work closely with freelance translators and translation agencies to ensure timely and accurate translations.
- Maintain and update translation glossaries and style guides to ensure consistency in all localized content.
- Review and optimize translated content to align with Foot Locker’s localized TOV.
- Provide feedback and training to translators to continuously improve the quality of translations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising or similar degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrate solid understanding of the fashion industry, knowledge of and interest of current trends
- 3 to 5+ years’ experience as a fashion/retail Copywriter in an advertising/marketing agency or fashion online retailer
- Experience in managing translation processes and working with freelance translators and translation agencies.
- Must thrive in a fast pace, creative and exciting environment
- Strong organizational skills, and accuracy
- Fluency in English (verbal & written)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in other European language is a plus
