To meet our current and future capacity needs, our Trade & Customs team in Tilburg is looking for a new colleague. Tilburg is a key location within H&M Group's logistics network, supporting both retail and online business operations across Europe.

To support this mission, we are looking for an ambitious, collaborative, and solution-oriented Trade & Customs Associate to join our team.
As a Trade & Customs Associate, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth import and export operations of goods moving through our distribution centers. You will work closely with transport providers, customs teams, brokers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient goods flow, regulatory compliance, and high service performance.
What will be expected of you?
As a Trade & Customs Associate, you will be responsible for coordinating international shipments, supporting customs activities, and ensuring the timely movement of goods across our supply chain.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Planning and coordinating import flows and cross-docking activities for shipments arriving by sea, air, road, and rail.
- Monitoring inbound shipments and ensuring timely delivery to the distribution centers in the Netherlands (Tilburg) and other countries.
- Coordinating customs clearance activities in close cooperation with internal customs teams and external customs brokers.
- Supporting export processes and cross-border shipments to non-EU destinations in cooperation with internal stakeholders, customs teams, and customs brokers.
- Preparing, reviewing, and validating commercial invoices, proforma invoices, packing lists, and other customs and financial documentation required for export declarations and international shipment movements.
- Reviewing and approving transport, freight, and service provider invoices, ensuring accuracy and budget compliance.
- Communicating daily with transport providers, customs brokers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
- Tracking shipments and proactively managing transport disruptions, missing cargo, and delivery exceptions.
- Supporting transport insurance claims and follow-up activities when required.
- Maintaining operational reports, statistics, and KPIs to support performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
- Working closely with warehouse operations teams and 3PL partners to ensure smooth execution of supply chain activities.
- Contributing to process improvements and helping maintain efficient and compliant logistics operations.

Who are you?
We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a international environment and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
You bring:
- MBO degree and equivalent work experience in logistics, transport operations or international trade.
- Knowledge of customs procedures, supply chain processes and international trade regulations.
- Strong communication skills and excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- High attention to detail and an ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with SAP or transport management systems is considered an advantage.
