    Job Description

The Talent Category Procurement Manager plays a critical role in executing and delivering strategic Contingent Labour, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, and Benefits related initiatives. This position involves collaborating closely with internal customers to formulate and implement essential strategies that align with broader business objectives. Whilst the role is primarily focussing on talent and HR, the role may also involve supporting stakeholders and sourcing activities across other non-technology categories such as marketing and travel.

In this position, you'll ensure new value is delivered to the firm by optimising sourcing strategies for total cost of ownership, long-term value creation, and operational efficiency. You will negotiate critical deals with suppliers, address risks, and secure favourable outcomes. Success in this role depends on your ability to independently collaborate with key business stakeholders, ensuring procurement decisions align seamlessly with organisational goals, timelines, and performance expectations. You will be measured by your ability to deliver value, drive efficiency improvements, and enhance stakeholder satisfaction.

The Talent Category Procurement Manager is responsible for delivering Talent category initiatives. This includes contingent labour, talent acquisition, talent development, employee benefits, employee mobility, and talent-related technologies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Collaboration:
      • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, aligning on sourcing/procurement project objectives, developing key deliverables, and implementing changes.
      • Coordinate with internal departments to anticipate needs and specifications, ensuring procurement activities are synchronised with broader goals.
    • Market Insight and Value Creation:
      • Conduct and analyse market research to identify potential vendors and suppliers.
      • Perform regular assessments and conduct internal and external analysis to identify new opportunities to add value.
      • Create insights related to the client’s strategic and financial objectives through structured data analyses.
    • Strategy Development:
      • Input into the development of master category strategies and detailed negotiation strategies to guide procurement initiatives.
      • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure strategies align with business objectives and deliver maximum value.
    • Strategic Sourcing and Negotiation:
      • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives (RFI/RFP) and negotiate high-value contracts to optimise procurement outcomes.
      • Perform in-depth spend analysis and trend evaluation, identifying consolidation opportunities to leverage enterprise-wide buying power.
    • Performance Management:
      • Establish, track, and report on procurement performance metrics, using data-driven insights to evaluate outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
    • Supplier Management:
      • Manage supplier relationships to ensure contract compliance and resolve issues effectively.
      • Serve as a trusted advisor through persuasive communication, managing the presentation of final project deliverables.
    • Process Optimisation:
      • Drive the identification and implementation of procurement best practices to deliver measurable value.
