What's The Role
The role of the NMC & Datacenter Engineer in Curacao is to administrate and operate the Facilities Infrastructure (Power, HVAC, Floor Space, Racks, etc) of our Datacenters in Curacao, as well as perform Network Management activities for our Mobile Network with Flow.
What You'll Do
- The smooth running of the networking processes in the IDC -implementing, managing and troubleshooting existing network and system environments (Power, HVAC, Floor Space, Racks), and supporting a variety of hardware;
- Ensuring that the performance and availability of the servers and network infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards (in order to achieve maximum productivity);
- Supporting clients by a variety of methods, and providing them with their technical expertise by either verbal or written means;
- Responsible for the implementation, installation and configuration of systems, and the administration and support of those systems as well;
- Working on projects that will deliver extra functionality to the company (e.g. creating/researching/implementing new tools, databases or websites);
- Setting up of VPN connections for clients and manage firewall rules.
- Providing the client with all the services mentioned earlier
- Monitoring the mobile environment on a 24X7 basis
- Identification of critical mobile alarms based on ZLD and ticketing accordingly
- Triage of mobile alarms received and escalation to T2 support
- Support T2 team in the resolution of mobile issuesProvides weekly and monthly SLA and performance Report for mobile ticketsProvides implementation (testing) and project support for all mobile network changes
What You'll Need
Preferred education/ qualifications:
- Graduate Level (Bachelors or Higher) degree in Computer Engineering
- CDCP (“Certified Data Centre Professional) certification is a plus
Knowledge & Experience:
- Between 3 & 5 years of experience in a network related position
- Hands on experience configuring routers, switches, Firewall and/or VPN’s (even interest and experience in configuring home grade equipment counts)
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; good writing, speaking and listening skills in the English language
- Able to manage multiple incidents simultaneously with fluctuating priorities
- Team spirit, customer service oriented, willing to work shifts

Core Responsibilities
The engineer will manage and operate datacenter infrastructure including power and HVAC systems while performing network management for mobile services. They are also responsible for monitoring mobile environments, handling alarms, and providing technical support to clients and internal teams.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and possess 3 to 5 years of experience in a network-related role. Proficiency in configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs is required, with professional certifications like CDCP considered a plus.
