KSL is a family business trading for 25 years based on the Medway City Estate in Rochester, Kent, specialising in air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation, design, supply, installation, commissioning and planned preventative maintenance. We are looking to hire a HVAC / mechanical contracts manager. We hold the coveted top accreditations from the two market leading manufacturers, namely Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric, allowing an extended 7 and 10 years parts warranty. To assist our continuing journey, we are looking for a contracts manager to undertake the pricing of tenders, surveying, design, issuing proposals, negotiating, agreeing projects, running from conception to completion, submitting deposit applications, invoices, handovers, O&M manuals and handing over information to our service side to quote for maintenance. The position is office based with site / enquiry site visits. Our clients range from small refurbishment companies, landlords, owner occupiers and fast food chains. Projects are varied as are our clients, ranging from £3.5K up to £500k, with typical contract values being in the £30K to £150K range. The applicant will need to have experience in the disciplines above, possibly engineer time served with an eye for detail, being commercially aware and computer literate. Remuneration subject to experience, vehicle mileage / allowance, together with standard phone, laptop with remote access, pension and sick pay after a successful three month probation period. Core Responsibilities
The contracts manager will oversee projects from conception to completion, including pricing tenders, design, and project negotiation. They are also responsible for submitting documentation such as invoices and O&M manuals while coordinating with the service department.
Requirements
The applicant should have experience in HVAC and mechanical disciplines, ideally as a time-served engineer. Candidates must be commercially aware, detail-oriented, and computer literate.
