Taste and Nutrition –EMEA Technical Head 1) Company profile CJ Europe GmbH is the European branch of CJ CheilJedang BIO, an international company with its headquarter in Seoul, South Korea. CJ CheilJedang BIO is a business unit of CJ CheilJedang, a global leading bio ingredients producer and supplier for the feed and food industry. 2) Position summary As EMEA Technical Head you will be leading the technical organization in Europe with full oversight over key customer interactions and strategy, as well as related product application, creation, research & development activities and well as playing a key role in the product development R&D interface with CJ Korea and the EMEA market. 3) Job Duties • Leadership of the savory technical organization in the EMEA region & leader of activities at the CJ Technical Center in Wageningen, The Netherlands • Lead technical contact for key accounts in the B2B, CPG, Flavour House & Distributor customer segments • Leading savory product development activities in EMEA market from concept design to commercialization • Lead application demonstration strategy including development of new application segments • Management of technology & product development pipeline / interface with CJ HQ • Establishment and development of upgraded lab and technical facilities at the Technical Center • Lead on recruitment of additional R&D, application and technical roles at CJ Europe • Represent CJ at customer visits and at industry events such as trade shows 4) Job Requirements • Candidate must be fluent in English, additional European languages are a plus • Bachelor’s degree in in Food Science / Chemistry or relevant related discipline • 8-10 years industry experience in a technical / NPD role • Background in a flavor house (strongly preferred) or B2C / B2B food manufacturer, with experience in the savory market • Experience with managing a team / direct reports • Customer focused mindset • Tenacity & drive for results • Attention to detail • Strategic acumen • Presentation and communication skills • Ability to work in an international team environment • Awareness of and ability to adapt to intercultural sensitivities 5) Location • CJ Technical Center, Bronland 10, 6708 WH Wageningen, The Netherlands • Candidate should be able and ready to travel to customer locations & industry events in within the European region and more broadly in Europe on a regular basis

Core Responsibilities

The EMEA Technical Head will lead the savory technical organization, overseeing product development, application strategy, and research activities at the CJ Technical Center. They will serve as the primary technical contact for key accounts and manage the interface between the EMEA market and CJ Korea HQ.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Food Science or Chemistry and possess 8-10 years of industry experience in a technical or NPD role, preferably within a flavor house. Strong leadership, communication, and strategic skills are required, along with fluency in English and the ability to travel within Europe.
