You provide specialised knowledge and skills in a specific area of expertise to drive innovation and support successful execution of projects, initiatives, innovations and/or daily operations. Your profile and background Master’s degree (MSc) in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline, with strong knowledge of electrical power systems and transmission networks. Proven experience conducting high-voltage grid studies and applying model-based approaches to solve complex technical challenges. Hands-on experience in electrical grid modelling and network analysis. Experience with grid modelling software; knowledge of PowerFactory is considered an advantage. Experience with Python programming and/or the development of analytical tools is a strong advantage. Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills, with professional proficiency in English; Dutch language skills are considered an advantage. As a Grid Planning and Analysing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, governance and further development of these models. Your Contribution to TenneT How do you help keep the Netherlands powered? As a Systems & Markets Specialist – Grid Model Management, you are responsible for the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of TenneT's grid models and associated data sets, enabling high-quality analyses and decision-making across the organisation. You will become part of the Grid Model Management (GMM) team, a team of approximately 6 specialists within the Data Tools & Models Team in the Design division. Tasks & Responsibilities Maintain and develop TenneT’s core high-voltage grid model and derived network models for national and European power system analyses. Manage model changes, data quality, and information requests to ensure accurate and reliable modelling data. Continuously improve network models and underlying datasets through analysis, research, and innovation initiatives. Collaborate with operational teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment, consistency, and quality across network models. Represent TenneT in national and European modelling and data management activities, including ENTSO-E working groups. Share expertise, support colleagues with modelling and software-related challenges, and contribute to the development of a centrally managed, company-wide grid model. Requirements
Requires a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical discipline with proven experience in high-voltage grid studies and modelling. Proficiency in English is required, with PowerFactory and Python skills being strong advantages.
