Start date As soon as possible No later than December 2026 Duration and hours 5 to 6 months 32 to 40 hours per week Compensation €600 per month About Altum AI Altum AI builds the data and API infrastructure that powers the Dutch real estate market. Our Automated Valuation Model predicts housing market values, while our Sustainability API helps homeowners and professionals understand energy-saving measures and their impact on property value. Everything we build depends on reliable, high-quality data. As a Data Analyst Intern, you will work at the core of our platform, analysing the datasets behind our products and the output our APIs return to customers, and making sure the numbers we deliver are accurate, explainable, and traceable. This internship is learning-focused, with close mentorship from experienced data scientists and the business team, and real responsibility on systems used by real customers. By the end of this internship, you will have hands-on experience analysing production data and API behaviour in real-world real estate applications, and you will know how to turn a messy dataset into an answer someone can act on. Dataset analysis Explore and analyse large real estate, energy, and spatial datasets Research, evaluate, and collect new public and commercial data sources Assess datasets on coverage, quality, and fitness for our products Investigate patterns, outliers, and anomalies, and explain what causes them Document data definitions, assumptions, and known limitations API output analysis and logging Analyse the output our APIs return and check it against reference data Identify biases, edge cases, and property types where results need improvement Design and build logging so we can see how our APIs behave in production Track accuracy and coverage metrics over time and flag when something changes Support customer questions about how a specific number came about Reporting and visualisation Turn analysis into clear conclusions for engineering, product, and commercial colleagues Build recurring reports on data quality and API performance Set up dashboards that make our data and API behaviour visible at a glance Tech stack you will work with Python REST APIs AWS infrastructure MongoDB and Elasticsearch Real estate, climate, and spatial datasets What you bring Roughly two years of academic or practical experience with Python, or equivalent experience Foundations in statistics and data analysis Experience with data analysis libraries such as pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, or similar Comfortable working with spatial data, or keen to learn it Able to explain an analysis clearly in writing, including its assumptions and limitations Fluent in English, both spoken and written Proactive, curious, and comfortable sharing knowledge Nice to have Familiarity with GIS tooling such as GeoPandas, QGIS, PostGIS, or similar Experience with a dashboarding tool such as Power BI, Tableau, Metabase, or Streamlit Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Elasticsearch Some experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP Knowledge of Dutch Interest in the Dutch housing market Remote development experience You do not need experience with all tools listed. Curiosity and willingness to learn matter more than checking every box. Core Responsibilities

You will analyze large real estate and energy datasets to ensure the accuracy and quality of the company's API outputs. Additionally, you will build dashboards and reports to communicate data insights to engineering, product, and commercial teams.

Requirements

Candidates should have roughly two years of academic or practical experience with Python and a strong foundation in statistics. You must be fluent in English and possess a proactive, curious mindset with a willingness to learn new tools.
