Job Description

Freelance Business Analyst assignment in the telecom sector, Randstad, starting as soon as possible. The challenge: a high-priority program with more than ten projects needs someone to turn business objectives into clear IT requirements and user stories. Six months, option to extend, €90–100 per hour. Immediate availability is a must; only apply if you can start now. WHAT WILL YOU DO? You analyse and document business processes, systems, responsibilities, controls and operational scenarios. You map stakeholders, ownership structures and decision-making processes across the program. You prepare and facilitate interviews, workshops and working sessions. You translate program objectives, risks and improvement opportunities into business, functional, non-functional, operational and security requirements. You develop use cases, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria and Definitions of Done. You shape solution approaches and designs that support architecture and implementation. You maintain traceability between objectives, requirements, controls, decisions and delivery. You identify dependencies and shared information needs across projects and departments, and resolve gaps and conflicts before they slow things down. THE TEAM 10+ projects. Three project leads. And one Program Manager who runs it all and reports on it at the highest level. You report to that Program Manager. The program sits at the top of the organisation's priority list, so the impact of your work is immediate. YOUR TALENT You have at least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Requirements Engineer, Solution Analyst or a comparable role. You have worked in complex technology, infrastructure, telecommunications or IT environments. You bring proven experience in requirements engineering and business process analysis. You have worked in Agile environments and know how to write use cases, user stories and acceptance criteria that teams actually use. You manage stakeholders confidently across multiple organisational levels. You translate business and technical requirements into practical solution directions together with architects and technical specialists. You have experience in cybersecurity, security transformation or risk-driven programs (strongly preferred), and knowledge of security principles, controls and risk management is a significant advantage. You are fluent in English, written and spoken. Daily travel to the Randstad is no obstacle for you. You will translate complex business objectives into clear IT requirements, user stories, and functional designs across a high-priority telecom program. Additionally, you will facilitate workshops, map stakeholder structures, and ensure traceability between requirements and project delivery.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in complex IT or telecom environments with proven expertise in requirements engineering. Strong proficiency in Agile methodologies, stakeholder management, and knowledge of security principles is essential.
