As Quality & Sustainability Executive, you'll support quality management systems across our operations in Europe and LATAM. You'll help execute GAR plans and projects, and implement methodologies across our European businesses, ensuring compliance with the latest feed, food, regulatory, and customer requirements. This role involves travel between our various offices. We're looking for someone who is self-driven, result-oriented, and customer-focused, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Key Responsibilities Support quality control systems by helping standardize processes and implement methodologies Implement strong supplier on-boarding procedures Automate sampling and monitoring tasks Ensure 100% traceability of delivered products Standardize SOPs across Europe and LATAM Analyze and report quality data, linking supplier and customer specifications Support sustainability reporting, from traceability to carbon emissions Monitor quality adherence, ensuring issues, controls, and SOPs are documented accurately Manage quality claims through root cause analysis and corrective actions Support EUDR implementation to expand the supply base Lead key projects on carbon footprint, MOSH/MOAH mitigation, and refinery product requests Represent GAR to external stakeholders and customers as a partner for sustainable, traceable products Provide local training support to Traders and Logistics teams Act as GAR BV's point of contact with the Sustainability team in Jakarta Support GAR's certifications (GMP+, RSPO, Kosher, Halal, etc.) and regulatory requirements Assist with internal audits and inspections Apply supplier profiling and reporting frameworks to meet standards like NDPE IRF and ISO Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Sciences or a related field 1+ years of relevant experience in sustainability and/or quality Understanding of the commodities industry Good working knowledge of the palm industry (mills, refineries, etc.) Proficient with MS Office and an ERP software Fluent in English, both written and spoken Fluent in Dutch, both written and spoken Fluent in Italian, both written and spoken, is preferred We Offer An entrepreneurial, international environment that values growth opportunities Competitive compensation with employer pension contributions Flexible working hours Local and global training & development programs Health insurance contribution Healthy snacks and drinks in the office every day A fully sustainable office in Utrecht, easily accessible by public transport Fun and engaging company events—outings, Christmas dinner, and our first well-being month focused on employee wellness and social connection Please note that we often incorporate an assessment and reference checks in our selection procedures. The Quality & Sustainability Executive will support quality management systems and standardize processes across European and LATAM operations. They will also manage sustainability reporting, ensure product traceability, and lead projects related to carbon footprint and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Sciences or a related field with at least one year of relevant experience. Proficiency in English, Dutch, and Italian is required or preferred, along with knowledge of the commodities and palm oil industries.
