Are you a practical and engaged Project Manager with proven, on site and off site, experience in architecture, festival stages, construction and (festival) projects? Are you fluent in Dutch, and are you ready to take the next step into the world of festivals, theme parks, visitor attractions and haunted houses? In this role, you will be responsible for leading and delivering projects with a strong technical and architectural focus from start to finish. Combining solid project management skills with in-depth knowledge of technical production, design, build and realization. You will read, interpret, and assess drawings, acting as a trusted partner for the design team throughout all project phases—from concept to build-ready design and execution. While working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will coordinate people, processes, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of technical and design quality. You are curious, visionary, and eager to explore innovative methodologies and new technologies that optimize project outcomes. Key responsibilities: Project planning and execution • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, varying in scale. • Formulate well-defined and quantifiable project goals in alignment with client and organizational objectives. • Set and monitor priorities, timelines, and progress within projects. • Ensure alignment between project scope, technical design, and execution. • Review and understand drawings and technical documentation to ensure feasibility and quality. • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Project team management • Set up and manage project teams with the required expertise. • Define clear roles, responsibilities, and tasks within the project team. • Lead and coordinate the project team (typically 2–8 people), ensuring clarity on expectations and deliverables. • Lead, guide, and coach team members, providing direction, support, and feedback to help them perform and develop professionally. • Act as a liaison between design, technical teams, and execution partners. • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team dynamic. Project budget • Develop project budgets based on hours and materials. • Oversee project budgets and track costs throughout the project lifecycle. Client relationship • Act as a key point of contact in communication for the client, during the project lifecycle. • Ensure smooth and clear communication between the client and the project team. • Prepare proposals and quotations together with the Commercial Director. Required skills: Project management expertise: Experience in managing projects, with a strong technical, architectural, and construction component. Technical / architectural knowledge: Solid understanding of (stage) building processes, construction methods, and the ability to read and assess technical drawings. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to align stakeholders and ensure clarity within teams. Commercial awareness: Recognizing the direct influence of project execution on organizational goals and customer experience. Design & build processes: A solid understanding of the full process from concept to build-ready design and realization. AI & innovation: Interest in and experience with applying relevant AI tools to improve workflows and project efficiency. Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Personal: Strong collaborator who enjoys working in multidisciplinary teams. Natural team leader who enjoys guiding, supporting, and developing others. Organized and detail-oriented, with a structured way of working. Positive, flexible, and eager to learn. Hands-on mentality with a strong sense of ownership. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Curious and forward-thinking, with an interest in innovation and new technologies. Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset. Languages: • Dutch: required (professional level). • English: strong verbal and written communication skills. Work experience: • At least 5 years of experience in project management or a similar role. • Experience in architectural, construction, or build-related projects. Location: The position is fully based on-site in Amsterdam. Therefore, it is important that you live in (or near) Amsterdam, or are able to relocate to the area in the near future.
