Job Description

Be part of a movement that moves the world At ASICS, we're more than just a brand; we're a movement. A movement of movement, propelled by the belief that motion strengthens the body and uplifts the mind. Our name itself, an acronym for "Anima Sana in Corpore Sano" (a Sound Mind in a Sound Body), encapsulates this commitment. Since taking our first step in Japan in 1949, our journey has been about more than just reaching the finish lines or clocking the fastest times. It's about the joy of moving and it's open to all. Here at ASICS, we welcome diversity in our people, their backgrounds and life experiences. So, you could be the right person for this role regardless of your age, nationality, religious beliefs, or gender identification. Your role in our shared journey This is a nine-month fixed-term contract, starting as soon as you are available. Based at our EMEA headquarters in Hoofddorp, near Amsterdam, and reporting to our Head of Global Running Apparel, you will own the exclusive apparel line we create for one of the UK's largest sports retailers, across men's, women's, kids and accessories. You are the link between ASICS Global Apparel in Europe and the retailer's merchandising team in the north west of England, and you will spend real time with them in person. You will run the line from first idea to final delivery: briefing and reviewing CADs, line arts and prototypes with your dedicated designer and developer, holding the seasonal calendar, reviewing pre-costs, making go/no-go calls and setting the suggested retail prices that keep the range profitable. The account is growing quickly, and so is the ambition behind it. We are moving from showing a collection and responding to requests towards anticipating what this retailer's shoppers want next and bringing them assortments they have not asked for yet. You will be close enough to the consumer and to the commercial numbers to shape that. It is a busy, visible seat on a team of eight, and there is genuine potential for the contract to become a permanent role. Your Key Responsibilities Will Be Product Line Ownership:Own our exclusive line for this account end to end across men's, women's, kids and accessories, from the first idea through to delivery. Client Partnership:Act as the link between ASICS Global Apparel and the retailer's merchandising team, keeping them close, communicating openly, and being confident enough to say no when the margin or the calendar depends on it. Calendar Management:Run the product timeline against the retailer's own calendar alongside the ASICS seasonal calendar, holding both sides to their dates. Commercial Ownership:Review pre-costs, make the go/no-go decisions, recommend suggested retail prices, and protect profitability across all four categories. Product Creation:Work as a trio with a dedicated designer and developer, plus our sourcing and materials teams, to deliver CADs, line arts and prototypes and to feed client input back into the range. Data Management:Own product data in our PLM and master systems so the line is ready when go-to-market comes around. Essential You have the following skills: 4 to 6 years in product management within apparel, clothing or fashion. Sporting goods experience is welcome and is not a requirement. Experience owning an external client or account relationship directly, with the confidence to build trust face to face and to set a boundary when you need to. Strong project management across several categories and seasons running at the same time. Hands-on experience with margin and costing: you have reviewed pre-costs, made commercial calls and had a say in retail pricing. Exceptionally organised and driven by the calendar, with a track record of nothing slipping. A clear communicator in English who keeps clients and colleagues in the loop before they have to ask. Nice To Have Experience working with UK retail, particularly a large sports or athleisure retailer. Experience with a PLM system. Available at short notice in November 2026, so there is time for a proper handover. Life at ASICS When you join ASICS, you become part of something special. Here, your voice matters, your growth and wellbeing are important. We believe in fostering an environment where every step forward is celebrated, where diversity fuels our journey, and inclusion strengthens individuals. And together and as individuals, we can inspire more people to move for body and for mind. Our commitment to your wellbeing Benefits We're dedicated to ensuring that every team member experiences the joy and benefits of movement. To support your wellbeing, we offer: Access to office gym and sports membership discount. Exclusive discount on ASICS gear. Unlimited access to the Calm app for better sleep and mental fitness.
