Job Description
Be part of a movement that moves the world At ASICS, we’re more than just a brand; we're a movement. A movement of movement, propelled by the belief that motion strengthens the body and uplifts the mind. Our name itself, an acronym for "Anima Sana in Corpore Sano" (a Sound Mind in a Sound Body), encapsulates this commitment. Since taking our first step in Japan in 1949, our journey has been about more than just reaching the finish lines or clocking the fastest times. It's about the joy of moving and it's open to all. If you're inspired to move yourself and the world toward a brighter, more inclusive future, we're looking for you. Here at ASICS, we welcome diversity in our people, their backgrounds and life experiences. So, you could be the right person for this role regardless of your age, nationality, religious beliefs, or gender identification. Your role in our shared journey Located at our EMEA headquarters in Hoofddorp, near Amsterdam, you will provide hands-on project and operational support across a number of active DTC workstreams for the remainder of 2026. This is a freelance interim engagement covering both eCommerce and Retail, working across a varied portfolio of initiatives including event-based retail activations, payment and regional expansion rollouts, omnichannel projects, and stakeholder meeting coordination. You will be embedded in the DTC team and expected to deliver value from day one with minimal onboarding. Please note: this is a freelance position starting asap until f31 December 2026. We are looking for someone who is immediately available or available at short notice, comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment, and able to hit the ground running across multiple concurrent projects. If you thrive on variety, own your work without being managed closely, and enjoy the energy of a global sports brand, this is a strong engagement to add to your portfolio. Your key responsibilities will be: DTC Project & Operational Support — track actions, timelines, and deliverables across multiple active eCommerce and Retail workstreams; ensure nothing falls through the gaps across a cross-functional portfolio of DTC and omnichannel initiatives. Event & Retail Activation Coordination — support the coordination of retail booth presence and sales activity for the ASICS Paris Marathon and Den Haag Marathon; manage logistics, stakeholder alignment, and on-the-ground delivery requirements for event-based activations. Payment Rollout & Regional Expansion Testing — support project implementation for payment improvement rollouts and South Africa regional expansion testing cycles; coordinate business user testing with relevant stakeholders across eCommerce, Retail, Finance, and technology teams. SAP Key-User Community Coordination — manage scheduling, communication, and coordination for the SAP key-user community across relevant DTC workstreams; ensure alignment and timely information flow between business users and project teams. Stakeholder Meeting & Review Support — prepare materials, updates, and supporting content for stakeholder meetings and project reviews; ensure decision-makers have clear, accurate, and timely information to progress initiatives effectively. You have the following skills and experience: Proven experience in project management or operational coordination, ideally within a retail, eCommerce, or multi-market consumer brand environment. Comfortable working independently with minimal onboarding and delivering value quickly in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting. Experience coordinating event-based or retail activation projects — marathon booths, sponsorship activations, or similar in-field commercial activity is a meaningful differentiator. Familiarity with system testing cycles for digital products, apps, or payment platforms; experience supporting business users through UAT or similar processes. Strong cross-functional engagement skills — comfortable working across eCommerce, Retail, Finance, and technology teams simultaneously. Well organised and detail-oriented, with a proactive sense of ownership and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. Strong written and spoken English — able to communicate clearly across teams and cultures. Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint — required for tracking, reporting, and stakeholder presentation preparation. Nice-to-haves: Experience with SAP and/or Salesforce is a meaningful advantage. Background in omnichannel, DTC, or multi-brand retail environments is a plus. Freelance Benefits at ASICS: Exclusive 50% discount on ASICS and ONITSUKA TIGER gear. Hybrid working model.
