About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Service Engineer / Inspector to carry out periodic inspections, maintenance, assembly and certification of technical safety equipment. You'll work both in our workshop and on location at client sites, keeping fall-protection, confined-space, rescue and evacuation, and personal protective equipment safe, compliant, and fully operational. This is a practical, quality-driven role for someone who takes pride in precise, standards-compliant technical work and enjoys variety between workshop and field. Key Responsibilities Inspection & certification — Carry out periodic (annual/statutory) inspections of fall-protection systems, rescue equipment, and evacuation installations at client sites. Quality control — Perform incoming quality checks on manufactured and supplied components against specification and applicable European standards. Assembly & testing — Assemble, test, and certify technical PPE and safety systems, verifying compliance with relevant EN/NEN standards before release. Maintenance & repair — Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and service installed fall-protection, rescue, and evacuation equipment in the field. Installation — Install new fall-protection and rescue/evacuation systems at client locations, following technical drawings and safety procedures. Administration — Log inspections, findings, and certifications accurately in the Service Management System; issue inspection reports and certificates. Client contact — Liaise directly with clients' safety officers and facility contacts on-site, explaining findings and recommendations clearly. Feedback loop — Signal commercial opportunities (replacements, upgrades, additional inspections) back to the sales team. Sectors You'll Work In You'll inspect and service equipment on-site across industries where working at height, confined-space entry, or emergency rescue create significant occupational risk, including: Industrial manufacturing and heavy industry Oil, gas, and offshore / petrochemical facilities Chemical and process industries Construction and infrastructure Utilities and energy (including wind and power generation) Ports, logistics, and (petro)chemical storage/tank terminals Industrial maintenance, inspection, and facility services Emergency response, fire brigades, and rescue organisations What You Bring Vocational/technical education (MBO level) in a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent experience. Hands-on technical aptitude with a practical, precise approach to maintenance and inspection work. Prior experience in a comparable technical service, maintenance, or inspection role. Fluent Dutch; working proficiency in English is an advantage. Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces as part of daily duties. Valid category B driver's licence and willingness to travel to client sites across the country. A quality-first mindset — comfortable following structured inspection protocols and documenting results accurately. Nice to Have Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and VCA safety certification. Knowledge of height-safety, confined-space, or PPE standards (e.g. EN 795, EN 361, NEN). Experience as a certified rope-access technician, height-safety inspector, or similar. Residing near [city/region], or willing to relocate. Requirements
Candidates must have a vocational/technical education (MBO level) or equivalent experience in a technical discipline. A valid category B driver's license and the ability to work at height and in confined spaces are required.
