Job Description

We're looking for an interim Facility & H&S professional for an international manufacturer of test and inspection equipment. The assignment • 3 months, with possible extension to 6 • On-site in Capelle aan den IJssel • Reporting to the Site Leader • Start: as soon as possible Facility • Assess how the plant lay-out can be optimised toward the future state • Build stakeholder buy-in for your proposal • Write the project plan and execute the move • Manage IT, the landlord and the Kardex as key points of attention • Coordinate maintenance (garden, heating, cooling, pest control, roof) and housekeeping • Clear and hand over surplus rooms Health & Safety • Review and update the RI&E and the evacuation plan • Develop emergency response plans and run evacuation drills • Perform an H&S gap analysis • Review and update MSDS and PAGO • Build and motivate the BHV team • Lead investigations into near misses, accidents and unsafe conditions • Keep safety records, training logs, permits and audit findings in order • Support the incoming preventiemedewerker • Champion a positive safety culture across the site What we're looking for • Experience with ARBO and Dutch health & safety regulation • Experience as preventiemedewerker • EHBO/BHV certified • Able to create and update CAD drawings • Comfortable reading engineering drawings • Project management experience • Methodical, accurate, IT-literate and hands-on • Flexible when priorities shift • Dutch and English at professional level Interested, or know someone who fits? Core Responsibilities

The role involves optimizing plant layout, managing facility maintenance, and overseeing site moves. Additionally, the specialist will lead health and safety initiatives, including RI&E updates, emergency response planning, and fostering a positive safety culture.

Requirements

Candidates must have experience with Dutch health and safety regulations, ARBO, and hold EHBO/BHV certification. Proficiency in project management, CAD software, and the ability to read engineering drawings are also required.
