As an intern, you’ll bring a solid applied technical background—ideally in polymer chemistry—and work both independently and under supervision of the scientist Product Development. You’ll spend most of your time in the lab, collaborating with colleagues from Product Development and Polymer Technology. You will be conducting polymer syntheses and microstructural analyses.
You’re eager to learn, pragmatic, and thrive in a dynamic, informal environment. You’re fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).

Your Profile
- 4th year bachelor student (HBO) or master student in (polymer) chemistry
- Extensive hands-on experience with organic syntheses in the lab
- Acquainted with basic lab safety rules
- Skilled in properly documenting your research, both in lab journals and reports
- Skilled in experimental design and execution
- Experience with in-line characterization methods is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Research-oriented mindset
- Enjoy working in a vibrant, informal environment
- You are able and willing to commute to Gorinchem (NL) on a daily basis
- The duration of your internship is min. 6 months

Requirements
Candidates must be 4th-year bachelor or master students in (polymer) chemistry with extensive hands-on experience in organic synthesis. Proficiency in English and the ability to commute daily to the Gorinchem facility are required.
