Interoperability Requirements Manager — Federated Programmes and Test Data for NATO with security clearance
Key Skills
Job Description
Relocation to the United States — Norfolk, Virginia. We provide the NATO-5 visa.
A multinational defence organisation runs a standing programme to make the systems of its member nations work together. This role sits at the requirements end of that work: drawing out what is needed, writing it down so engineers can build against it, and keeping the test evidence complete enough to report on.
What you would be doing
- Supporting federated interoperability across the whole capability lifecycle.
- Drawing out and recording interoperability requirements across every dimension of a capability, not just the technical one.
- Contributing to the policies, directives and concepts that govern how interoperability is done.
- Watching the quality, completeness and consistency of test data in the designated tools, and closing the gaps you find rather than reporting them.
- Running structured communication with the communities of interest and preparing participants for interoperability events.
- Giving participants timely, usable guidance on the processes, the tools and the events.
- Supporting the analysis of the data collected, and producing the reports and briefings that come out of it.
- Administering role-based access to the interoperability test tooling.
- Travelling to meetings and conferences up to about thirty days a year.
What you would bring
- A four-year university degree or higher from a recognised institution.
- At least five of the last ten years working in multinational collaboration and coordination, ideally in an alliance or comparable multinational setting.
- At least three of the last ten years supporting interoperability initiatives, campaigns or exercises across several stakeholders and nations.
- At least three of the last ten years managing and delivering interoperability requirements, including governance, data collection and reporting.
- At least three of the last ten years planning and running events, workshops, conferences and exercises.
- Writing that holds up as a record: meeting notes, action lists, reports, briefings.
- Fluent professional English.
This is a long engagement that renews year on year, not a short project.
Core Responsibilities
The role involves managing interoperability requirements across multinational defense systems and ensuring the quality and consistency of test data. You will also facilitate communication between stakeholders and produce reports based on collected data.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a four-year university degree and possess at least five years of experience in multinational collaboration. Proficiency in English and a background in managing interoperability initiatives and requirements are essential.
