Key Skills
Job Description
Relocation to the United States — Norfolk, Virginia. We provide the NATO-5 visa.
A multinational defence organisation is building out its counter-uncrewed systems and counter-IED capability. This role supports the programme that delivers it: requirements, doctrine, project coordination and the synchronisation across every line of development.
What you would be doing
- Supporting the development of capability products under the alliance governance model.
- Supporting the programme director and project coordinator in their programme management, including work with agencies and nations.
- Supporting the projects themselves, including the layered counter-drone initiatives.
- Drawing out, capturing, analysing and tracing capability requirements at every level.
- Developing and reviewing the doctrinal corpus — policies, doctrine, directives, concepts of operation.
- Coordinating development and implementation across all lines of development, and proposing courses of action when they conflict.
- Organising and taking part in workshops, seminars and conferences.
- Collaborating with national and international organisations, centres of excellence and academia.
- Maintaining programme status information in the warfare development environment.
- Identifying lessons and best practice and getting them learned.
What you would bring
- A master degree or equivalent military college qualification in engineering, information systems, aeronautics or operations research.
- At least three of the last ten years briefing senior leaders and decision-makers.
- Five years of operational knowledge of counter-uncrewed systems or counter-IED at tactical, operational or strategic level.
- At least two of the last ten years in programme or project management in a complex environment.
- At least two of the last ten years in a multinational defence organisation.
- Fluent professional English.
This is a long engagement that renews year on year, not a short project.
Core Responsibilities
