We are looking for a Marketplace Business Developer Apply Vacancy: Business developer for marketplace operators You will work at one of our offices, at home or at the client’s office. Do you have sales or business development experience and an interest in e-commerce? Then we are looking for you! At Operai, we work for online marketplaces. On these marketplaces, other sellers (partners) can offer their product range. As Business Developer, you help our clients recruit new sellers for their marketplace platform. These sellers are generally resellers, distributors or brand owners. As Business Developer, you know how to find, enthuse and sign suitable sellers. You also negotiate with the seller about the product range, and any exclusive products. Of course, we do not expect you to know everything about marketplaces and e-commerce straight away, which is why we offer you an extensive induction programme, the opportunity to follow training courses and, of course, you can always ask questions to one of your Operai colleagues. Who you are We are looking for someone who… Has experience in sales and/or business development Has an interest in e-commerce, or more specifically marketplaces Takes initiative and is not afraid to pick up the phone Is persuasive and able to explain things clearly A good command of the Dutch & English languages, German is an advantage. Core Responsibilities

You will be responsible for recruiting new sellers for marketplace platforms and negotiating product ranges with partners. You will actively identify, enthuse, and sign suitable sellers to expand the client's marketplace ecosystem.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has experience in sales or business development and a strong interest in e-commerce. You must possess excellent communication skills and be fluent in Dutch and English, with German being an advantage.
