Job Description

Apply Reservations Agent Reservations Agent With 45 rooms in our location in Utrecht, 106 in Amsterdam Noord and a hostel area comprised of unique and innovative private pods, Bunk is a young, growing brand where guests from all over the world can experience our cities at an affordable price. Our concept is different from what many of our guests are accustomed to, so there are usually questions at the start of each guest's journey. Those journeys begin online or over the phone when they make a booking at Bunk. Every guest is different and looking for something special, and our reservations team plays an important role in creating unforgettable stays from the very first interaction. About The Role This is a part-time position for 4 days per week (30.4 hours). As a Reservations Agent, you'll often be the first point of contact for our guests. You'll assist individual travellers, handle group bookings, answer questions, make recommendations and ensure every reservation receives personal attention. This role is about much more than processing bookings. Every conversation is an opportunity to create a memorable guest experience, identify guest needs and help maximise revenue by recommending the right room types, packages and experiences. You'll work closely with our hotel teams to ensure guest expectations are communicated clearly and special requests are handled smoothly. The role offers plenty of variety and flexibility, with opportunities to work from our Amsterdam Noord office, from one of our locations or from home. As hospitality never stops, occasional weekend shifts may be part of the schedule. Who You Are We're not looking for someone who simply processes reservations. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys talking to people and spotting opportunities. You easily build relationships with guests, aren't afraid to pick up the phone and know how to turn a simple enquiry into a memorable conversation. You Are Fluent in Dutch and English (required). Commercially minded and naturally able to spot revenue opportunities. Social, outgoing and confident in guest interactions. Comfortable making recommendations and upselling when it adds value for the guest. A strong communicator, whether by phone, email or in person. Curious and always looking for ways to improve processes. Interested in automation, technology and working smarter. Proactive rather than reactive; when you spot an issue, you come with a solution. Organised enough to manage multiple priorities without losing attention to detail. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where every day is different. Flexible and open to occasional weekend work. About Bunk In Bunk's monumental churches, you'll find a cross between a hostel, a hotel, a restaurant, a coworking space, an art gallery, a cultural event venue, a traveller's gem and a local favourite. Far from your typical hospitality concept, our brand is built around personality, connection and stories. Our team is made up of people from all walks of life. Rather than extensive experience, what we all have in common is a love for people and creating memorable experiences, whether that's by recommending the best spots in town or helping guests feel at home from the moment they book. About Bunk

Industry: Hospitality

Company size: 51-200 employees

Bunk is a lifestyle brand bringing together a global community of creative travellers and locals alike. In our monumental churches, you’ll find a cross between a hostel, a hotel, a restaurant, a coworking space, an art gallery and a cultural event venue. Our mission is “communal wonderment:” our spaces and events are designed to encourage the sharing of stories, ideas and art in all its forms; to make anyone with something to tell and a desire to discover the most unique and bizarre the local scene has to offer feel at home. Not only do we organise free events every week for guests and locals, we also have an Artist-in-Residence program and even a make a fully-equipped recording studio available for free at our monumental church in Amsterdam. In 2020, following the success of Bunk Utrecht, which opened in 2019 and won Hostelworld’s Hoscar for "extraordinary innovation" the same year, Bunk Amsterdam opened in Amsterdam’s up-and-coming Noord district. Our commitment and attention to detail is time-consuming. That’s why we choose to grow slowly but steadily. And this is a persistent devotion: we are always eager to create more Bunk. We develop and operate made-to-measure hotels with personality in metropolitan destinations with a vibrant spirit. Our specialty is the conversion of monumental buildings: schools, churches, industrial warehouses, monasteries and other cultural heritage sites. We fully devote ourselves to creating unique destinations with a soul, shaped by local art, culture and stories of their historic surroundings. As we dream big, we always try to stay true to our core values of honesty and openness.
