We are currently seeking a skilled System Owner. As a System Owner you will focus on different mechanical systems within our bus engineering. Highlights of your role... You take technical ownership of one or more vehicle mechanical systems, such as door systems, driveline and steering; You lead the development, integration and validation of the responsible system(s); You define and follow system requirements, technical specifications and vehicle interfaces; You manage technical communication with suppliers and support design reviews; You work together with chassis-, electrical-, software-, manufacturing-, homologation- and aftersales teams; You support testing and validation activities from prototype to production; You support problem solving for development, production and field issues; You support customer projects and engineering changes when needed. What We’re Looking For... Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or similar. Minimum 5 years of experience in vehicle mechanical systems, driveline, chassis or vehicle integration, preferably in the bus, truck or automotive industry. Strong technical knowledge and experience in at least one of the following areas: door systems, driveline or steering systems. Experience with mechanical and mechatronic system integration. Experience working with suppliers, design reviews and validation activities. General understanding of durability, fatigue and NVH. Experience with CAD tools such as NX, Catia and PLM systems such as Teamcenter, Enovia or Windchill. Experience with problem-solving methods such as Root Cause Analysis, FMEA and 8D. General knowledge of automotive standards and regulations. Good technical communication skills and ability to work with different engineering teams and suppliers. Core Responsibilities
You will take technical ownership of vehicle mechanical systems, leading their development, integration, and validation from prototype to production. Additionally, you will manage supplier communication, support design reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical issues.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering and possess at least 5 years of relevant industry experience. Proficiency in CAD tools, PLM systems, and problem-solving methodologies like FMEA and 8D is required, along with fluency in Dutch and English.
