Job Description

Electrical Commissioning Specialist- ref. JOB-1596 Mission Context As part of a major industrial project, we are looking for an Electrical Commissioning Specialist with expertise in HV/MV electrical systems, power conversion, and electrical equipment commissioning. You will be involved on site during the pre-commissioning, commissioning, and energization phases, performing and supporting inspections, testing, and commissioning activities through to system handover to the start-up teams. You will work closely with the commissioning and construction teams, electrical equipment vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with electrical safety, quality, and technical requirements. Key Responsibilities Participate in the pre-commissioning, commissioning, and energization of HV/MV electrical systems, GIS, transformers, and distribution equipment. Perform and/or participate in electrical testing, protection tests, interlock checks, functional testing, and loop checks. Participate in the commissioning of power conversion, reactive power compensation, and harmonic filtering systems. Verify electrical installations and equipment prior to energization, in accordance with commissioning procedures and documentation. Participate in Construction-to-Commissioning handovers, punch list follow-up, and verification of technical documentation. Identify anomalies and non-conformances during testing and contribute to their resolution with the relevant teams. Report commissioning activities, test results, and outstanding issues. Ensure compliance with electrical safety, quality, and grid requirements during site activities. Required Profile Strong experience in industrial electrical commissioning, ideally involving HV/MV systems. Hands-on experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and energization phases. Good knowledge of electrical testing, protection systems, interlocks, functional testing, and distribution equipment. Experience with GIS, transformers, power conversion systems, or reactive power compensation is a plus. Good understanding of electrical and E&I documentation related to commissioning. Basic knowledge of pre-commissioning and DCS is appreciated. Autonomous, rigorous, and able to communicate effectively in an international environment. Fluent in English.
