Job Description

Hi there, it's Seph here and I am looking for a psychology enthusiast to your our virtual team. I hope the following sounds like you... You love understanding what makes us human. You read about attachment styles for fun, you have opinions about why a page feels confusing, you notice what makes one post land and another disappear. What if that fascination became your work? Psychology.com is looking for interns who want to explore psychology through design, AI, content, and social media, and start imagining the career they could create. Fully remote, schedule agreed together, and you learn by making things that go live for thousands of people who are trying to understand themselves. What you could work on Bring a strength in one area, or an interest in the space between them. The most interesting work usually connects several. Design that understands people. Explore user experience, design thoughtful pages and visuals, and turn complex ideas into clear, approachable resources. AI, with human judgment. Experiment with AI-assisted research, creative workflows, and useful tools. Check sources, question outputs, and keep accuracy and people at the center. Content with substance. Research, write, and refine articles, guides, and learning resources. Translate psychological ideas into language people can actually understand and use. Social media with purpose. Bring good ideas to a wider audience. Develop visual stories, short-form content, and thoughtful campaigns, then learn from how people respond. A good fit You don't need to know everything. You do need to care about the details, take initiative, and turn ideas into work you can share. An interest in people and psychology. Tell us what you're studying, exploring, or hoping to learn. A willingness to make and improve. Share drafts, ask good questions, and use feedback to strengthen your work. Reliable, independent collaboration. Agree on a realistic commitment, communicate clearly, and follow through. An interest in the most recent AI tools and models. This is a creative and digital internship. It does not include therapy, patient care, or supervised clinical practice, and it will not count toward clinical hours. Compensation Internships normally begin unpaid. We may consider a paid arrangement from the outset in exceptional cases, depending on your experience and the contribution you can make. As the collaboration develops, we can discuss paid work when there is a clear track record of reliable delivery and meaningful value. Payment or a future role is not guaranteed. Before you begin, we agree on scope, time commitment, a review point, and compensation terms, subject to applicable requirements. How to apply Apply through our internship page, not through LinkedIn: https://psychology.com/internships/ What part of psychology could you talk about for hours? Tell us what excites you, what you'd love to create, and the kind of difference you hope to make. A class project, writing sample, personal experiment, or portfolio is welcome. Thoughtful work matters more than a polished résumé. If there's a match, we'll discuss a focused first project and the terms together.

Core Responsibilities

The intern will create psychology-based content, designs, and social media campaigns to help people understand themselves. Responsibilities include experimenting with AI workflows and translating complex psychological ideas into accessible resources.

Requirements

Candidates should have a strong interest in psychology and a willingness to iterate on their work based on feedback. Proficiency with modern AI tools and a proactive, independent approach to collaboration are required.

About Psychology.com

Industry: Mental Health Care

Company size: 2-10 employees

Psychology.com is the internet's original therapist directory, online since the 1990s and rebuilt for the age of AI. Millions of people now open a chatbot before they ever reach a human. AI can help with that first step. It should never be the last one. Psychology.com uses AI to do one honest thing: help you find the right licensed therapist, and hand you to a real person who can actually help. What we're building: • A verified therapist directory. Every profile is checked against federal and state licensing registries, then re-checked on a schedule. Real credentials, real people, no guesswork. • An AI assistant with a single job: guide you to the right therapist for your situation. It orients the search and narrows it down. It never pretends to be your therapist. • Independent coverage of AI and mental health. Clear, sourced statistics, a state-by-state tracker of AI therapy laws, and an annual industry study, so you can understand a field that changes every month. We have spent our careers at the intersection of psychology, health, and the internet, previously building PositivePsychology.com into one of the largest evidence-based wellbeing resources on the web, read by around 24 million people a year. Psychology.com is the chance to do that on the best address in the category, and to keep it honest. If you are a licensed therapist, our founding cohort lists free. If you are a psychology PhD, our editorial review board is recruiting. If you are a journalist or researcher, our data is open to cite. AI helps you find the right therapist. We make sure they're real. Psychology.com is for education and to help you find care. It is not therapy. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (US).
