Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE: Location: Aalsmeer, The Netherlands; on site. The successful candidate will join our growing, experienced team as Systems Integration & Mechatronics Engineer, focusing their time primarily on systems integration and mechatronics systems. S30, the next generation Unmanned Aerial System will be equipped with the latest technologies developed by partner companies and off the shelf products. Speeder Systems is working on the edge of the technology combining robotics, aerospace and naval worlds together to create fast, autonomous, flexible unmanned systems to operate in the naval environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -Integration of electrical and electronic systems into the S30 prototype including servos, electro-mechanical systems, engines, autopilot and sensors. -Producing ground-test and verification methods after integration. -Producing relevant documentation(design drawings, electrical diagrams) for integration. -Producing the necessary documentation for certification and operation (checklists, schematics) -Verifying designs and design changes for airworthiness. -Defining system functions, creating risk, safety and reliability analysis -Defining design, production, maintenance and operational best practices for validation, traceability and quality of the work performed. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: NOTE: No Sponsorship is to be provided to the NL. Only NL work permit holders will be considered for the role. B.S. Aeronautical, Aviation, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Automotive or related Engineering departments of Universities; A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Engineering role with active involvement with electrical and electromechanical system integration and processes. Understanding of prototype stage of system development. Deep understanding of communication protocols such as CANBUS, ETHERNET, DRONECAN. Design capability of electronics systems in CAD environment. (e.g. CATIA, Fusion 360, UGNX) Adheres to due diligence and compliance in all aspects of work. Experience with good documentation practices Experience working with suppliers and managing suppliers. Preferably has a pilot’s license or a remote pilot’s license in the EU. Production/design/flight certification experience in aerospace Industry, unmanned systems or model aircraft. Requirements
