FPGA / Embedded Systems Engineer - Quantum Technology Location: Delft, Netherlands / Hybrid Sector: Quantum Computing, Scientific Hardware & Advanced Computing Level: Mid-Senior to Principal We're looking to connect with experienced FPGA and Embedded Systems Engineers interested in working at the intersection of advanced electronics, scientific computing and quantum technology. Europe's quantum hardware ecosystem is growing rapidly and creating demand for engineers capable of designing the high-performance electronics and control systems required to operate increasingly sophisticated quantum systems. Importantly, previous quantum computing experience isn't essential. We're particularly interested in engineers from semiconductor, aerospace, defence, telecoms, robotics, scientific instrumentation and other complex hardware environments who would consider applying their expertise within quantum technology. Areas of interest We're looking to speak with engineers experienced in areas including: FPGA design and development VHDL / Verilog / SystemVerilog RTL design FPGA verification Embedded systems Embedded C / C++ Digital electronics High-speed electronics RF and signal processing Hardware/software integration Real-time control systems Test and validation ASIC / FPGA development SoC architecture Hardware control platforms Your background You may currently work within: Quantum technology Semiconductors Scientific instrumentation Aerospace or defence Telecoms Robotics High-performance computing Industrial electronics Advanced hardware We're particularly interested in engineers who enjoy solving difficult technical problems where hardware, firmware and software interact. Moving into quantum You don't necessarily need previous quantum experience. Many of the engineering challenges facing quantum computing companies require expertise already established within semiconductor, electronics, FPGA and embedded engineering environments. For engineers interested in moving into quantum technology, we're particularly keen to understand your existing technical expertise and the type of technology you'd like to work with next. Requirements
Seeking mid-senior to principal level engineers with expertise in FPGA design, embedded systems, and digital electronics. While quantum experience is not essential, a background in semiconductors, aerospace, defence, or robotics is highly valued.
