Senior Desktop Systems Administrator We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Desktop Systems Administrator to support our enterprise infrastructure. This on-site role involves managing and maintaining client compute devices, operating systems, mobile platforms, and supporting technologies across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Job Highlights Location: On-site — no remote work available Work Schedule: Core business hours (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM); occasional after-hours support may be required Team Structure: Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams in a large-scale enterprise environment Key Responsibilities Provide expert-level support for client compute devices (laptops, desktops, peripherals) and accessories in a large-scale enterprise environment. Manage and troubleshoot infrastructure technologies including WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and Active Directory. Deploy, configure, and support operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL). Validate and troubleshoot Group Policy Object (GPO) Resultant Set of Policy (RSoP) and JAMF configuration profiles on endpoints. Manage user account lifecycle: creation, modification, deactivation, permissions, and directory maintenance (e.g., Active Directory). Support and troubleshoot Microsoft productivity suite: Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Exchange/Outlook, and Office applications. Configure, deploy, and support mobile devices (Apple iOS and Android) across enterprise environments using Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions. Support single- and multi-site videoconferencing solutions and advanced conference room control systems (Cisco experience is a plus). Manage enterprise network printing infrastructure, including high-volume scanning-to-email and finishing unit operations. Participate in IT security incident response, including system imaging, malware remediation, and forensic support. Plan and execute user and site relocations, including office moves and full-scale site migrations. Collaborate with IT security teams to enforce endpoint compliance, patch management, and device hardening best practices. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for End-User Computing (EUC), automation, and service delivery optimization. Preferred Qualifications 4+ years of experience in desktop systems administration and/or service desk administration in a large-scale enterprise environment. Ability to work with minimal supervision — self-motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented. Experience with client application packaging and deployment across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms (e.g., using SCCM, Intune, or JAMF). Familiarity with IT asset management (ITAM) tools and standard inventory practices. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Apple Certified Support Professional, JAMF Certified Administrator, or Cisco CCNA Collaboration). Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), or JAMF Pro for endpoint lifecycle management. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation of routine desktop administration tasks. Requirements
