Role Description The Data Management Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Amsterdam. This role is responsible for maintaining and improving the quality, consistency, and usability of data related to conferences, attendees, partners, and internal operations. Day-to-day tasks include implementing data governance practices, monitoring data quality, managing master data sets, and ensuring accurate data integration across systems and tools. The specialist will analyze data to support business decisions, generate reports and dashboards, and collaborate with event, marketing, and operations teams to define data requirements. The role also involves documenting data processes, supporting compliance with relevant data regulations, and contributing to continuous improvement of data management standards. Qualifications Strong data management capabilities, including Data Management and Master Data Management skills. Experience with Data Governance practices, policies, and data stewardship. Proficiency in Data Quality management, including validation, cleansing, and monitoring. Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, build reports, and provide insights to stakeholders. Familiarity with database tools, CRM or event management platforms, and spreadsheet or BI software. Attention to detail, structured working style, and ability to handle multiple data sources. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g., Data Management, Information Systems, Business Analytics) or equivalent experience. Understanding of data privacy and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR) is an advantage. Experience in events, conferences, or professional services environments is beneficial. IMPORTANT: candidate must be located in Europe and have work permit, candidates without both will not be checked.
