The Role As External Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager, you play a key role in strengthening and modernizing how CM.com handles its financial processes and controls, with a focus on external reporting and technical accounting. You get close to the business, translating complex accounting rules into practical guidance that helps the right decisions get made. Innovation is at the heart of this position, with a strong focus on AI-driven improvements. This role combines recurring responsibilities with project-based work, offering both structure and variety. Your Responsibilities Include Applying and implementing IFRS and Dutch GAAP standards, including technical accounting position papers Preparing internal and external financial reports that go beyond statutory financial statements, as a listed company, this includes sustainability and remuneration reporting and quarterly press releases Coordinating audits conducted by external auditors, both domestically and internationally Performing financial analysis and controls during month-end and year-end closings You also help identify where AI and automation can make these processes faster and stronger. You will be part of an international organization in which Finance is centrally organized, supporting multiple business units across various countries. In this role, you collaborate closely with different finance disciplines as well as business and corporate functions, giving you broad exposure and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the organization. Who you are A Master’s degree in Accountancy or Finance; RA/CPA qualification is a plus Several years of ‘big 4 experience’ and a background in Accountancy Strong technical accounting knowledge, including Dutch GAAP and IFRS, and experience with audits; advanced Excel skills and affinity with BI tools are a plus A proactive, analytical and hands-on mindset; you take ownership, work accurately and are able to communicate effectively across different levels of the organization A strong interest in automation and AI; you are AI-savvy or eager to further develop your skills in improving financial processes through technology Professional proficiency in English and Dutch (written and spoken); experience in an internationally operating organization is a plus Believe you’d be a great fit for this role, even if you don’t tick every box?
