Job Description

QHSE & Compliance Lead – Europe At Yokogawa, we believe a sustainable future starts with smarter, safer operations. We're looking for an HSE & Compliance Lead to run health, safety, environment and compliance day to day across Yokogawa Europe. You own the management system, the audit programme and incident handling for the region, and you are the person country teams call when something is unclear or has gone wrong. What you'll do Run the HSE and compliance programme for Europe Translate the regional HSE and compliance strategy into an annual plan for 18 countries, and drive it through country HSE contacts and site managers. Own the management system Maintain ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001 certification across the region. Plan and lead internal audits, track corrective actions to closure and prepare the region for external audits. Lead incident investigations Investigate serious incidents and near misses, set the root-cause standard for the region and make sure findings turn into changes on site. Handle regulatory notifications and take the lead on complex compliance cases. Be the go-to for the region Advise country managers, project leaders and site teams on HSE and compliance questions. Represent Yokogawa towards regulators, certifying bodies and customer audits. Report what matters Own the regional HSE KPIs, produce the monthly and quarterly reporting for European leadership and use the numbers to prioritise where to act. Bring HSE in early Support bids, project delivery and CSRD reporting with the right HSE input from the start, and keep the region current on new regulation and standards. What you bring 8+ years in HSE and/or compliance, with at least 3 years in a multi-site or multi-country role in industrial automation, process industries, engineering or a comparable regulated environment Minimum of 5 years of direct leadership experience. Hands-on experience maintaining ISO 45001/14001/9001 systems and running an internal audit programme Experience leading incident investigations and dealing with regulators or certifying bodies A recognised HSE qualification (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent) and a degree in engineering, safety science or a related field Fluent English; other European languages are an asset Regular travel across Europe Who you are Reliable – you do what you say, act with integrity and follow through Analytical – you break down complexity, find clarity in data and act on what you find Persuasive – you get site teams and managers to change how they work without formal authority over them Why Yokogawa? Core Responsibilities

The QHSE Lead will manage the health, safety, environment, and compliance programs across 18 European countries, ensuring adherence to ISO standards and regulatory requirements. They will lead incident investigations, conduct internal audits, and provide strategic guidance to country managers and site teams.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least 8 years of experience in HSE or compliance, including 5 years in a leadership role within a regulated industrial environment. A degree in engineering or safety science and a recognized HSE qualification like a NEBOSH Diploma are required.
