Job Description

We're looking for a legal engineer. You studied (tax) law and have worked up to five years in practice. Recently you concluded that a traditional firm isn't your place. You know how to run a legion of AI agents and now you want to help build the future of legal. At Moonlit you work on the infrastructure those agents run on. Tens of millions of legal documents from hundreds of official sources. Your job sits between the law and the machine: deciding how a provision, a ruling or a regime should be structured so a model can reason over it correctly, then checking whether it actually does. Some days that means deep reading. Other days it means writing evals, breaking your own pipeline and rebuilding it. What it isn't: a mapped-out career path with a team under you. You figure out a lot yourself and are comfortable making mistakes and then improve. What we're asking: completed degree in (tax) law up to 5 years of practice experience available at least 4 days a week mostly from the office in Amsterdam

Core Responsibilities

You will build and maintain the infrastructure for AI agents by structuring legal provisions and rulings for model reasoning. Additionally, you will write evaluations and refine the pipeline to ensure the AI accurately processes vast amounts of legal data.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a completed degree in tax law or law and possess up to five years of practical experience. You must be available to work from the Amsterdam office at least four days a week.
