To support the continued growth of Starbucks in the Netherlands, Starbucks by Alsea is recruiting a passionate Maintenance Technician who will ensure that our stores are always in top condition, allowing us to deliver the perfect coffee experience to our guests every day. What You’ll Do As a Maintenance Technician, you will report to the Facility and Maintenance Manager and be responsible for the upkeep and repair of facilities, equipment, and installations across our company-owned stores in the Netherlands. You handle the small maintenance of our equipment and carry out various tasks as needed, in collaboration with the Facility and Maintenance Manager. You will play a key role in ensuring our stores operate at their best by performing preventive and corrective maintenance, all while adhering to safety and brand standards. Your duties will include: Multitasking & coordination Manage multiple maintenance requests across stores, and prioritize interventions according to urgency, business impact and operational criticality. Switch between hands-on repairs and admin tasks. Work around customers and staff during store opening hours, without disrupting service. Organise and optimize daily schedules to accommodate planned maintenance and urgent corrective interventions. Coordinate on-site activities with contractors, including technical briefing, site access, work supervision and quality control. Complete safety checks, compliance documents and spare parts orders. Record completed work and improve maintenance processes. Report recurring issues and suggest improvements. Plumbing Unclog and repair sinks, toilets, and floor drains. Repair/replace leaking taps, valves, and hoses under sinks and coffee equipment. Replace washers, cartridges, and small fittings. Electrical Replace faulty light fixtures, switches, sockets, and LED tubes/spots. Diagnose and reset tripped breakers or RCDs. Handle small electrical repairs: wiring adjustments, new/fixed sockets, troubleshooting power loss. General maintenance & hardware Carry out carpentry and hardware tasks. Handle drywall patching, surface finishing, and decorative installations. Assemble and calibrate furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Maintain and troubleshoot specialized equipment. What We’re Looking For We’d love to hear from candidates who have: A technical qualification (MBO level 3/4 in electrotechnics, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or similar). At least 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a multi-site environment such as hospitality, retail, or hotels. A valid driver’s license (category B) and willingness to travel across the Netherlands. Ideally based in or within reasonable commuting distance of the Randstad area, the Netherlands. Other required skills and qualities: Experience in carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electromechanical expertise. Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude. Excellent organizational and planning abilities. Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when required. Clear and effective communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and verbal. Flexibility to adapt to business needs and occasional maintenance requirements outside standard working hours. Wat ga je doen? Als Maintenance Technician rapporteer je aan de Facility and Maintenance Manager en ben je verantwoordelijk voor het onderhoud en de reparatie van faciliteiten, apparatuur en installaties in onze eigen Starbucks stores in Nederland. Je voert klein onderhoud aan onze apparatuur uit en voert verschillende werkzaamheden uit wanneer dat nodig is, in samenwerking met de Facility and Maintenance Manager. Je speelt een belangrijke rol bij het optimaal laten functioneren van onze stores door preventief en correctief onderhoud uit te voeren, waarbij je altijd de veiligheidsvoorschriften en merknormen naleeft. Je werkzaamheden omvatten: Multitasking & coördinatie Meerdere onderhoudsverzoeken vanuit verschillende stores beheren en interventies prioriteren op basis van urgentie, impact op de bedrijfsvoering en operationele kritikaliteit. Afwisselen tussen praktische reparatiewerkzaamheden en administratieve taken. Werken in aanwezigheid van klanten en medewerkers tijdens openingstijden, zonder de service te verstoren. Dagelijkse planningen organiseren en optimaliseren om gepland onderhoud en urgente correctieve interventies mogelijk te maken. Werkzaamheden op locatie coördineren met aannemers, inclusief technische briefing, toegang tot de locatie, toezicht op de werkzaamheden en kwaliteitscontrole. Veiligheidscontroles uitvoeren, compliance-documenten invullen en bestellingen van reserveonderdelen plaatsen. Uitgevoerde werkzaamheden registreren en onderhoudsprocessen verbeteren. Terugkerende problemen rapporteren en verbeteringen voorstellen. Loodgieterswerk Wastafels, toiletten en vloerafvoeren ontstoppen en repareren. Lekkende kranen, kleppen en slangen onder wastafels en aan koffieapparatuur repareren/vervangen. Ringen, cartridges en kleine fitting-onderdelen vervangen. Elektrisch Defecte armaturen, schakelaars, stopcontacten en LED-buizen/spots vervangen. Doorgebrande zekeringen of aardlekschakelaars (RCD's) diagnosticeren en resetten. Kleine elektrische reparaties uitvoeren: aanpassingen aan bedrading, nieuwe/gerepareerde stopcontacten en het oplossen van stroomstoringen. Algemeen onderhoud & hardware Timmerwerk en andere technische werkzaamheden uitvoeren. Gipsplaten repareren, oppervlakken afwerken en decoratieve installaties uitvoeren. Meubilair, installaties en apparatuur monteren en afstellen. Gespecialiseerde apparatuur onderhouden en storingen oplossen. Wat zoeken we? We komen graag in contact met kandidaten die beschikken over: Een technische kwalificatie (MBO niveau 3/4 in elektrotechniek, werktuigbouwkunde, mechatronica of vergelijkbaar). Minimaal 3 jaar ervaring in onderhoud, bij voorkeur in een multi-site omgeving zoals horeca, retail of hotels. Een geldig rijbewijs (categorie B) en de bereidheid om door heel Nederland te reizen. Bij voorkeur woonachtig in of op een redelijke reisafstand van de Randstad, Nederland. Andere vereiste vaardigheden en eigenschappen: Ervaring met timmerwerk, loodgieterswerk, schilderwerk en elektromechanica. Het vermogen om prioriteiten te stellen en deadlines te behalen. Sterke probleemoplossende vaardigheden met een proactieve houding. Uitstekende organisatorische en planningsvaardigheden. Sterke teamvaardigheden, met het vermogen om zelfstandig te werken wanneer dat nodig is. Duidelijke en effectieve communicatieve vaardigheden in Nederlands en Engels, zowel schriftelijk als mondeling. Flexibiliteit om zich aan te passen aan de behoeften van de organisatie en incidentele onderhoudswerkzaamheden buiten de standaard werktijden uit te voeren wanneer dat nodig is. Requirements

Candidates must hold a technical qualification at MBO level 3/4 in electrotechnics, mechanical engineering, or mechatronics. At least 3 years of relevant maintenance experience and a valid category B driver's license are required.
