About The Team You join the App team. Almost everyone here builds in React Native and that's exactly why we need you. You specialise in the Native parts of of our React Native app. Right now we lean on an external partner for the native work on our roadmap, things like Live Activities, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This role brings that knowledge in house for good. you'll work closely with Linda, the teams PO, and Jason, our App Team Lead, and pair with the React Native developers whenever native and React Native code need to meet. Our Tech Stack The app is written in React Native with some native modules written in Swift & Kotlin. Our backend is built in C#/.NET. We are heavily using Azure Functions to keep our platform as scalable as possible. We adopt a microservice architecture where services communicate with each other mainly via the Azure Service Bus. We also have a web portal that is written in Angular. About The Job As App Developer you own the native side of our app, iOS and Android both, while staying close to the React Native codebase around it. Build and maintain native features like Live Activities, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in Swift and Kotlin Bridge native modules into our React Native app, so the rest of the team can keep building on top without needing deep native knowledge themselves Take over native development that currently runs through an external partner, so this expertise lives inside the team going forward Keep certificates, store requirements and native release steps for iOS and Android running smoothly Coach and pair with your React Native colleagues whenever they run into native quirks Work closely with Linda as Team Lead, plus Product and Design, to turn native roadmap items into real features people use For you At Deftpower you’ll find more than cutting-edge tech, you’ll find a team that actually enjoys the ride! Salary range: Between €4500,- and €6000,- a month €2.000 training budget per year to keep learning and growing. Choose your own laptop to work with, up to €1.750. All conditions such as holiday allowance, 25 vacation days, pension, etc. About You You've got 5+ years of experience in mobile development, with real, hands on experience in both native iOS and native Android. You don't just write native code, you also know how to make it play nice with a React Native app around it. You're strong in both Swift and Kotlin, iOS and Android matter equally here You've worked in or alongside a React Native codebase before, so bridging native modules isn't new territory You take real ownership of native features, from Live Activities to CarPlay and Android Auto You're comfortable being the specialist in a team full of generalists, and you don't mind explaining native quirks to people who mostly think in React Native You must have valid work visa for working in NL and you are willing to come to the office in Arnhem a few times a week You are a match with our values! Core Responsibilities

You will own the native side of the mobile app, building and maintaining features like Live Activities, CarPlay, and Android Auto. You will also bridge native modules into the React Native codebase and coach team members on native development.

Requirements

The role requires 5+ years of mobile development experience with hands-on expertise in both Swift and Kotlin. Candidates must have experience working with React Native and possess a valid work visa for the Netherlands.
