Overall objective/Purpose of position
The Global Media Operations manager along with the central media team to ensure operational excellence is achieved and maintained within Miele through all interactions with Miele local markets and be the point person to lead and/or support on all Media Effectiveness related tasks within the central team.
The Operations Manager is responsible for the running of the media team, they will offer project management support to ensure deadlines and standards are upheld by the central media team. They will also be support in managing for the relationship with internal and external stakeholders ensuring commercial and oper tional commitments are delivered.
Responsibilities:
MAINTAINING OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
• Manage the media team to ensure operational standards are maintained and deadlines are met
• Be a point of contact for local markets to manage local standards and out of scope projects
• Coordinate internal team communication and tracking of budgets, deliverables and deadlines
STAKEHOLDER POINT OF CONTACT
- Key point of contact for internal stakeholders including senior leadership, business units and local markets
- Lead relationship with external partners including media agency, vendors and consultants
- Work alongside all parties to ensure operational and commercial standards and
- commitments are upheld and delivered
- Own the ways of working process, managing internal and external tracking documents meeting management and stakeholder comms
COMMERCIAL AND OPERATIONAL COMMITMENTS
- Work alongside media leads to ensure the smooth delivery of the business case and subsequent audits• Work with media agency to coordinate operational and commercial partnerships with key media vendors
- Support in the delivery of the agency evaluation survey including the commination and distribution of data, and development of action plans
- Review scopes of work and project tracking in accordance with invoicing and budgeting
DELIVERING TEAM SUCCESS
- Provide support towards the evolution or development of team projects as required
- Contribute to broader team projects including but not exclusively test and learn, capability building (internal education), MMM
- Collaborate on lighthouse projects to facilitate rapid learning and set the foundation for new media standards
Competencies/Skills for position
- 3+ years of working within media/marketing environments, ideally in the premium goods sector.
- Experience working alongside or at a global media agency/partner, media vendors, ad tech
- Project management or project deployment experience
- Commercial and/or operational understanding of international business / media department
- General understanding of effective media planning principals
- Marketing channel agnostic and comfortable with an understanding of the broad media landscape
- Exceptional communication skills, adept at engaging with a range of stakeholders at varying levels.
- Base knowledge of other marketing disciplines (Investment, platforms and measurement)
- Fluent in business English, with international experience.
Core Responsibilities
The Media Operations Manager will lead the central media team to ensure operational excellence and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders. They are responsible for tracking budgets, deliverables, and deadlines while supporting the development of team projects and media standards.
Requirements
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in media or marketing environments, preferably within the premium goods sector. Strong project management skills and a solid understanding of the global media landscape are required.
