Analytical Senior Scientist
Location: Weesp, Netherlands
Are you an experienced analytical scientist with a passion for problem-solving, laboratory leadership, and cross-functional collaboration? We are looking for an Analytical Senior Scientist to join our team and play a key role in supporting our established product portfolio across a global manufacturing network, with a primary focus on Europe.
In this role, you will provide scientific expertise to support manufacturing operations, analytical investigations, technology transfers, and product improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, supervise laboratory activities, and contribute to projects that ensure the continued quality, compliance, and performance of our products.
What You'll Do
As an Analytical Senior Scientist, you will:
Provide scientific and analytical expertise to support manufacturing sites and established products.
Investigate and resolve analytical or manufacturing-related challenges.
Support technology transfer activities, alternate supplier qualification projects, and cost-saving initiatives.
Coordinate and supervise analytical laboratory activities and testing programs.
Collaborate with cross-functional project teams and represent the analytical function in project discussions.
Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation, development reports, and regulatory submissions.
Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to a variety of stakeholders.
Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with quality, regulatory, and EHS requirements.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
MSc degree in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in an analytical, pharmaceutical, or laboratory-based environment.
Strong knowledge of chromatographic techniques (HPLC, GC, or similar).
Experience working within the pharmaceutical industry.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, hands-on mindset.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel internationally approximately 3-5 times per year.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with dissolution testing.
Previous experience supervising laboratory activities or leading analytical projects.
Familiarity with GMP, ICH guidelines, Pharmacopeia, and CMC requirements.
Dutch language skills.
