Job Description

Who we are

At OpenUp, our mission is to make mental well-being accessible to everyone. Following a ‘high tech & high touch’ approach, we support companies, their employees, and their families with proactive and practical mental health services. Through our digital platform, clients can access 1:1 check-ins, online courses, articles, videos, group sessions, mindfulness practices, and a team of committed mental well-being experts. As we believe that mental and physical well-being are deeply connected, we have also added Lifestyle Experts to our offering, focusing on nutrition, exercise, and sleep. We offer a truly holistic approach that helps people take ownership of their health. We’re proud to work with forward-thinking organizations and are committed to raising the bar on accessible care.

OpenUp was ranked in the Top 3 on LinkedIn’s Top Startups list for 2023, 2024 & 2025 and is continuously growing. We are expanding our international teams and we are searching for like-minded talent. We are already serving 2000+ companies (e.g. Rituals, Deloitte, Decathlon, KPMG, and McDonalds), through which 600K+ employees have access to our product.

The Team

At the heart of OpenUp is our Product Team. Alongside continuously improving our platform and bringing new features to life, we’re responsible for creating and facilitating the self-guided experiences that help people get the most out of OpenUp. This includes self-guided content such as articles, videos, and audio, as well as masterclasses, group sessions, and activation materials designed to engage our customers and users.

Our goal is to make every experience engaging, impactful, and relevant to the individuals we serve. That means tailoring our content to the needs of our core markets, including DACH (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) and Benelux.

And that’s where you come in!

The Role

As a Content working student, you’ll play a key role in bringing our Dutch and German content to life. Your responsibilities include:

  • Translating and localising articles, newsletters, and other materials to ensure they resonate with our Dutch and German-speaking audience.
  • Supporting the team in researching, editing, and publishing content.
  • Helping optimise content for readability, clarity, consistency and engagement.
  • Contributing creative ideas to improve and expand our content offering.

About You

You’re a detail-oriented communicator with a passion for content and mental well-being. You enjoy working in a fast-moving, international team and have an eye for what makes content good. Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • You are a native German and Dutch speaker (fluency in English required, French is a plus but not a must).
  • You have strong writing and editing skills with an affinity for clear, engaging messaging.
  • You know how to use AI to speed up your workflow, but you bring your own distinct voice, and can spot how to refine and localise a first draft written by AI so it reads naturally and stays on brand.
  • You have a keen eye for detail, spotting inconsistencies, and formatting issues while precisely following content guidelines and brand ToV.
  • You are available for 3 days per week, preferably working from our Amsterdam office.
  • You are organised, self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn!

What you can expect

Joining OpenUp means being part of a fast-growing company that's doing something meaningful. You'll work with a diverse and international team. We like to have fun together with many team-building activities like our weekly ‘borrels’ and after-work sports classes, the yearly ski-trip, and our Padel tournament. This makes our work fun, challenging and dynamic. Apart from this, we offer:

  • Daily healthy and vegetarian lunch at our office.
  • NS Business Card for your commute (if you live more than 5km from the office).
  • Flexible work model (hybrid and options for remote work).
  • Monthly drinks and company wide summer fest and other fun activities.
  • Free and unlimited access for you and your family to all our products, including our psychologists.

At OpenUp, everyone is welcome to apply regardless of age, gender, background, nationality, or any other characteristic. What matters to us is high performance, a real drive to make an impact and the ambition to become the European market leader. If you're ready to OpenUp, join us!

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to streamline parts of our recruitment process. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgement. All hiring decisions are made by humans. If you would like more information about how we use AI in the process, please contact us.

Core Responsibilities

You will be responsible for translating and localizing content such as articles and newsletters to ensure they resonate with Dutch and German-speaking audiences. Additionally, you will support the team in researching, editing, and publishing engaging content while contributing creative ideas to expand the content offering.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a native German and Dutch speaker with strong writing and editing skills and a passion for mental well-being. You must be detail-oriented, proficient in using AI tools for workflow efficiency, and available to work 3 days per week.

Benefits

  • Healthy and vegetarian lunch
  • NS Business Card for commute
  • Flexible work model
  • Monthly drinks
  • Company wide summer fest
  • Free and unlimited access to mental health products
