Job Description
What you will be doing
As an Experienced Consultant AI & Data at Roland Berger, you will work at the intersection of AI, data and strategy, using new and innovative technologies and analytical approaches to solve real business challenges. As an integral part of our consulting practice, you will work flexibly across projects and teams, applying your expertise where it will have the most impact.
You will use quantitative and data-driven approaches, such as to analyse business problems and develop actionable insights. Activities will range from using GIS to assess location potential to uncovering commercial opportunities and performance drivers through sales cube data.
Project acquisition and business development will also be part of your work. You will support our project pipeline by conducting rapid, in-depth analyses of a potential client's market, customers or operations. By bringing data-driven insights into our pitches, you will help them become more demonstrable, compelling and differentiated.
You will also play an important role internally by developing our office's AI and data capabilities. With support and mentorship from one of our partners, you will act as a point of contact for AI and data and will contribute to initiatives that identify and embed new AI applications and ways of working. You will also be part of our growing international AI community, experimenting with new tools, developing practical solutions, and sharing your knowledge across teams and projects.
As an Experienced Consultant AI & Data at Roland Berger, you will:
- Deliver tailored analytics and insights and apply AI and data tools to solve complex business challenges
- Support client acquisition with data-driven analyses and HTML-based tools
- Develop and embed AI and data solutions across the office
- Experiment with AI, data and innovative tools and share that knowledge across teams and the company as a whole

Your qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in an analytical or technical field
- 1–3 years of professional experience using data, modeling, technology or analytics to solve complex business challenges
- Sound knowledge of data analytics and quantitative modelling, with experience applying these to business challenges
- Strong business orientation and ability to translate data and technology into business impact
- Experience with AI, GenAI and emerging analytical tools, including experimentation and practical application
- Demonstrable written and presentation skills
- Excellent command of English and Dutch

The application process starts with a review of your application documents, followed by assessment round consisting of a personality test and an analytical assessment. The personality test is completed individually and before the analytical assessment. The analytical assessment is completed via MS Teams and is selective. When the analytical assessment is completed successfully the next phase is the first round interviews, three interviews: one interpersonal interview and two case interviews. In the final phase, you will have two additional interviews and must present a case.
