About The 51

The 51 is your go-to spot for a quick bite, after-work drinks, or a relaxed dinner. Guests can pour their own drinks from our selection of local beers and wines, enjoy tasty bites in the lounge, or settle in for a pizza in a relaxed and social setting. It’s a vibrant meeting point where hotel guests, locals, and colleagues come together, creating a true neighborhood vibe and a place people love to return to.

As F&B Shiftleader, you’re right in the middle of it all. One day you’re behind the bar pouring drinks, the next you’re making sure the terrace is ready for a sunny afternoon. Or you’re setting up our event space for a great party and before you know it, you’re in the kitchen preparing pizzas.

Variety is the name of the game.

What you’ll do

You’re the go-to person during your shift. You lead and motivate the team, divide the tasks and keep an eye on the bigger picture. You make sure everything runs smoothly, while jumping in wherever you’re needed whether that’s behind the bar, in the kitchen, on the terrace or at an event.

You create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for our guests and handle questions, requests or complaints with a positive and professional attitude. You keep an eye on last-minute changes and no-shows, take care of cash handling and closing procedures, and make sure our standards for service, quality and hospitality are always on point.

And of course, you keep the management team in the loop about anything that comes up during the shift from challenges to opportunities to make things even better.

  • You take responsibility and lead by example

  • You keep your cool when things get busy

  • You’re organized and know how to keep an overview

  • You have a positive can-do attitude

  • Most importantly: you bring good energy to the team

Never been a leader before? That’s totally fine. If you have hospitality experience and are ready to take the next step, we’d love to meet you. We believe leadership can be learned personality, energy and a passion for hospitality are what really count.
