About This Vacancy TMC Electronics is looking for an experienced Senior FPGA Engineer with at least 5 years of industry experience in FPGA development. In this role, you will be responsible for translating system requirements into robust FPGA architectures and implementations. You will work within multidisciplinary R&D teams on complex technical challenges, covering the entire development cycle from specification and design to verification, integration, and validation. Our clients operate at the forefront of technology and use industry-leading FPGA platforms such as Xilinx (AMD) and Intel FPGA solutions. Besides your technical expertise, you will play an important role in mentoring and coaching less experienced engineers and contributing to technical excellence within project teams. Your responsibilities Define FPGA architectures and technical specifications based on system requirements. Design and implement FPGA solutions using VHDL. Perform simulation, verification, debugging, and validation activities. Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and system engineers. Integrate FPGA designs into complex embedded systems. Optimize performance, timing, power consumption, and reliability. Support technical decision-making and contribute to architectural discussions. Coach and mentor junior FPGA engineers. What We Expect From You BSc or MSc degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in FPGA design and development. Extensive experience with VHDL. Experience with FPGA verification methodologies and tools, preferably SystemVerilog and/or UVM. Hands-on experience with Xilinx (AMD) or Intel FPGA platforms and toolchains. Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Tcl. Proven experience within a high-tech development environment. Practical experience in firmware, hardware, and software integration. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience coaching or mentoring junior engineers is highly valued. Excellent communication skills and professional proficiency in English. Nice to have Experience with high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, or SERDES. Knowledge of FPGA architecture design and timing closure. Experience with CI/CD flows and automated verification environments. Exposure to semiconductor, medical, or automotive development environments.
