Are you a Financial Accountant looking for a role that goes beyond processing numbers? At KONI, you will join a broad finance position combining accounting, reporting, tax, financial analysis and continuous process improvement. Based at our headquarters in Oud-Beijerland, you will be part of the Finance & Accounting team and contribute to reliable financial reporting, strong internal controls and the continued professionalisation of our financial processes. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the further implementation of SAP within Finance. What will you do? As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for accurate financial accounting and reliable financial reporting. At the same time, you will look beyond the numbers by analysing results, identifying variances and recommending improvements to processes and reporting. Your responsibilities include: Performing financial accounting and processing financial transactions; Supporting month-end closing and preparing balance sheet and profit & loss information; Preparing and supporting financial reporting; Performing balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger controls; Analysing financial results, budgets and variances; Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes; Preparing and processing journal entries and corrections; Preparing VAT, corporate income tax and intra-Community supply filings; Maintaining and improving internal controls; Supporting and performing internal audits; Providing financial information for consolidation and management reporting; Identifying and recommending improvements to financial procedures, processes and reporting; Providing financial analysis and insights to management; Supporting the implementation and optimisation of SAP for accounting processes; Participating in finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives. What do you bring? We are looking for a Financial Accountant who can work independently, has strong analytical skills and takes ownership of the quality and accuracy of financial information. You have: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Economics or a related field; At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience within accounting or finance; Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and tax regulations; Experience with financial accounting and general ledger processes; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; A structured and detail-oriented approach; Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with different stakeholders; The ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines; Professional proficiency in English. Experience with SAP or another ERP system is considered a strong advantage. Knowledge of Dutch and a professional accounting qualification are also considered a plus. Core Responsibilities

Requirements

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in English and experience with SAP or another ERP system are highly valued.
