Job Description
Airlift Systems is an aerial robotics company developing a new generation of aerial robots to tackle complex industrial missions. Our unique approach relies on tight integration of new hardware innovations with advanced autonomy software, redefining what is possible in aerial robotics. We operate in stealth mode as we finalize core technology ahead of a broader public release. Position: Market Research & Business Development Internship. Language Requirements: Professional proficiency in both Dutch and English is required. Role Overview: Conduct market and customer research to support commercial planning and pilot-test preparation for our robotic cleaning systems designed to treat hard-to-reach surfaces, including high-rise façades, solar installations, and industrial assets. The scope includes: Developing a structured competitor benchmark across manual cleaning services, robotic systems, and drone-based solutions—comparing speed/productivity, cost, risk/safety, regulatory constraints, and operational limitations. Executing customer discovery in Netherlands and GCC through outreach and interviews to quantify current service economics and procurement drivers. Analyzing and synthesizing the resulting findings into business-model inputs. Professional Skills: Market/competitor research: ability to find, structure, and compare competitors and incumbent methods using reliable sources. Quantitative benchmarking: ability to capture and normalize metrics (speed/productivity, cost ranges, crew size, mobilization time, downtime, risk/safety, regulatory constraints). Customer discovery & outreach: professional email/phone communication; ability to run structured interviews and document insights. Data analysis: strong Excel/Google Sheets; ability to track assumptions, sources, and confidence levels; basic unit economics/scenario analysis. Bonus: exposure to B2B services, facilities management, construction/maintenance, drones/robotics.
