About The Role As an AI Engineer - Data Scientist at Capgemini, you will be at the forefront of solving complex, data-driven puzzles for a diverse portfolio of Dutch and international clients. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and optimize advanced data science and AI solutions that create measurable value for our clients. You will work within a dynamic team, applying your expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI to uncover patterns, trends, and actionable insights from large datasets. Your role involves designing end-to-end solutions, from hypothesis formulation and model development to deployment and monitoring. You will leverage pre-trained AI models, such as large language models (LLMs), fine-tune them, and integrate them into client systems to deliver scalable and reliable AI-driven applications. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to ensure that solutions align with business needs and technical requirements. The role offers opportunities for professional development, including leadership training and coaching, supported by extensive training resources via the Capgemini Academy. Qualifications Master’s or PhD degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in data analysis, machine learning, and AI solutions Proficiency in Python and relevant data science tools and frameworks Experience with data engineering fundamentals, including version control, CI/CD, automated testing, and scalable code development Hands-on experience deploying solutions on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, or on-premise environments Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and LLMs Familiarity with AI model fine-tuning, integration, and deployment Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborative project environments Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement advanced data science and AI models to meet client needs Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that drive business decisions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions Fine-tune, validate, and optimize pre-trained AI models, including LLMs, for specific client applications Integrate AI models into client systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance Conduct hypothesis testing, A/B testing, and model evaluation to validate insights and solution effectiveness Maintain and improve data pipelines, workflows, and deployment processes Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in AI and data science, applying them to projects Support knowledge sharing within the team through mentoring, documentation, and training sessions Engage with stakeholders to ensure solutions align with strategic goals and operational requirements Benefits Permanent contract with a competitive salary package Unlimited access to training and professional development via the Capgemini Academy 26 vacation days, with options to purchase additional days Company contributions to pension schemes, with options for additional personal contributions Flexible working arrangements, including remote work options supported by connectivity and home office allowances Provision of a high-performance laptop and a SIM card, with private usage permitted Choice of a lease car, NS-businesscard, or reimbursement of travel expenses Equal Opportunity Capgemini is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace. Requirements

Requires a Master's or PhD in a quantitative field and at least 4 years of professional experience in AI and machine learning. Proficiency in Python, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), and fluency in both Dutch and English are essential.
