Job Description

Service Engineer & Trainer As a Service Engineer & Trainer, you are the face of our organization. You will work independently, whilst being part of a dedicated team. Your duties will include: • Machine installation: Positioning, assembling and calibrating machines. This includes setting up tool magazines, calibrating tools and commencing production. • Providing instruction: Training machine operators in programming, starting up production and machine maintenance • Maintenance and repairs: Carrying out preventive maintenance and resolving electrical, mechanical and software faults. • Digital work processes: You will receive work orders via a tablet and provide feedback on your work via the same system. • Collaboration: You will work closely with the in-house service team and other service engineers and sales staff. What we require: • An MBO qualification in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a similar field. • Experience with machine tools, machine maintenance and troubleshooting. • A good command of Dutch and English. • Good communication skills; you can switch easily between communicating with operators and directors. • Category B and W driving licence About SCM Group Netherlands SCM Group is the global market leader in the manufacture of woodworking machinery. Core Responsibilities

The role involves installing, calibrating, and maintaining woodworking machinery while providing technical training to operators. It requires resolving electrical, mechanical, and software faults and collaborating with internal service and sales teams.

Requirements

Candidates must have an MBO qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering and experience with machine tool troubleshooting. Proficiency in Dutch and English, along with a Category B and W driving license, is required.
