# Full Stack Java Engineer ## About the Company A leading technology organization is seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Engineer to support the development and modernization of a large-scale application platform hosting more than 40 business-critical applications. ## About the Role The Full Stack Java Engineer will work across backend and frontend development, application modernization, DevOps, and CI/CD within a complex enterprise application landscape. The role involves developing scalable Java and Angular solutions, migrating legacy applications, maintaining high code quality, and collaborating with business stakeholders in an Agile/SAFe environment. This is a **freelance engagement** based in Veldhoven, Netherlands, with a hybrid schedule of **2 days onsite and 3 days remote per week**. ## Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain enterprise-grade applications using **Java and Angular**. * Contribute to the modernization and migration of legacy systems into modern Java and Angular solutions. * Design, build, and optimize backend services using **Java, Spring Boot, and SQL**. * Develop responsive frontend applications using **Angular, RxJS, and NgRX**. * Implement and maintain **CI/CD pipelines** and DevOps best practices. * Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. * Maintain high code quality through testing, automation, and peer reviews. * Support multiple applications within a complex enterprise platform environment. * Contribute to Agile and SAFe delivery processes and stakeholder management. ## Required Qualifications * Strong experience developing **Full Stack Java applications**. * Strong hands-on experience with **Spring Boot**. * Experience with **Angular 14+**, with Angular 18 preferred. * Strong **SQL** expertise. * Experience with **RxJS and NgRX**. * Experience with **Docker and Git**. * Practical knowledge of **CI/CD and DevOps practices**. * Experience working within complex application landscapes. * Experience with stakeholder management. * Experience working in **Agile/SAFe** delivery environments. ## Preferred Qualifications * Experience with **MySQL**. * Knowledge of **PHP**. * Experience with **GitLab and Jenkins**. * Experience with **Nx**. * Experience modernizing and migrating legacy applications. ## Technical Skills **Backend:** Java, Spring Boot, SQL, MySQL **Frontend:** Angular 14+, Angular 18, RxJS, NgRX **DevOps & Tools:** Docker, Git, GitLab, Jenkins, CI/CD, DevOps, Nx **Development Practices:** Agile, SAFe, Testing, Automation, Peer Reviews, Application Modernization, Legacy Migration ## Work Arrangement * **Location:** Veldhoven, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands * **Work Arrangement:** Hybrid * **Onsite:** 2 days per week * **Remote:** 3 days per week * **Engagement:** Freelance * **Contract Setup:** Daily rate / BV or ZZP * **Sponsorship:** Not provided ## Compensation **EUR 111–166 daily rate**
