Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Sr. Manager, Clinical & Medical Affairs – Acute Care EMEA reports directly to the Sr. Director, Acute Care CMA and is responsible for leading a team to support the development and delivery of Clinical Education and procedural support in EMEA for the Acute Care business unit covering Europe, the Middle East & Africa. The Sr. Manager is ultimately responsible for clinical education and instruction in the region, supporting the advancement of clinical practice to improve patient outcomes. The Sr. Manager will ensure the team provides high level; multi-modal education focused on supporting the safe & effective use of strategic TFX products in alignment with Commercial Strategy. The Sr. Manager will lead the team in developing educational material, in compliance with the Off Label and Promotion Activities Policy and all IPPs. In this role, s/he will have an opportunity to work as part of a global, cross-functional team to make a meaningful difference in patient care through the incorporation of evidence based educational programs and by acting as a trusted advisor to the Acute Care leadership team. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: As an integral part of the CMA team, performance will be measured on delivery of assigned procedural education, it’s customer evaluations and feedback from the EMEA CMA leadership. This role will educate and support a wide range of healthcare professionals on the safe and effective use of Teleflex Acute Care products. It advances clinical practice through impactful training programmes and provides ongoing support to the sales and marketing teams by staying current on the latest clinical evidence, practices and product developments. Collaborate with commercial cross-functional partners to ensure educational tactics and programs are aligned with commercial strategy Oversee recording/tracking of all educational records ensuring accuracy of PMO reporting. Monitor overall effectiveness of educational events to ensure learning objectives are met with appropriate product utilization. Coordinate regular budget reviews/planning sessions with Sr. Director, CMA and finance partners Oversee annual Master Need development and approvals for the EMEA-Acute Care activities Oversee program deployment, related in-service education, and integration to clinicians to ensure satisfaction and patient safety. Support the facilitation of the Sale Team training as well as other internal stakeholders on the operation, features, and benefits of Products and technology as well as the appropriate clinical application and the associated disease states requiring the various technologies. Assist with the collection and dissemination of information or feedback provided by clinical customers. Support the evaluation of new products or enhancements to technology to provide information, feedback and clinical support to the Global Product Development and Marketing departments. Organize and plan CMA representation at Professional Society Meetings/Congresses in educational programs and forums. Continuously increases knowledge of new developments within the region as well as products and procedures that may facilitate optimal patient care. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure appropriate support of business education requirements Other assigned duties and responsibilities as required to meet corporate goals EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred. Teaching qualification. Equivalent clinical experience will be considered if deemed adequate to perform the duties and responsibilities. A minimum of two years of demonstrated managerial skills including managing people, resources and budgets. Previous experience in life science or medical device industry. Previous experience supporting internal (sales; strategic accounts; management team, etc.) and external customers (physician offices, ASCs, hospital outpatient personnel, etc.) Demonstrate effective educational and presentation skills in diverse settings from one-on-one to formal large group situations. Advanced MS Office skills to develop effective reports, spreadsheets, and presentations. SPECIALIZED SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work independently, and as a valued team member. Ability to travel a minimum of 50%, including overnight to clinical facilities, professional meetings, and team ride a longs as required to fulfil job responsibilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in English required. Multi-lingual preferred including Spanish, French or Italian. Exhibits strong time-management and organizational skills. Established track record of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers. TRAVEL REQUIRED: Up to 75%. Requirements
