The company works across interdisciplinary teams and provides project opportunities for partners and freelancers through long-term client relationships. ## About the Role Wavestone Germany AG is seeking a **Senior Java Full Stack Developer – Payments** for a long-term project with a client in **Zurich, Switzerland**. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and optimizing payment applications within an established Scrum team. The position combines backend development with **Java and Spring**, frontend development with **Angular**, and technical analysis of banking and payment-related requirements. Remote work is possible **only from within Switzerland**. ## Key Responsibilities * Independently implement features and user stories within an established Scrum team for payment applications * Work with business departments to understand, analyze, and translate functional requirements into appropriate technical solutions * Perform technical conception, analysis, and design of banking-related requirements * Develop and enhance backend components using **Java and Spring** * Develop and enhance frontend components using **Angular** in accordance with established guidelines and standards * Operate, maintain, and continuously optimize payment applications within the Scrum team * Contribute to the implementation of payment processes, procedures, and standards * Take responsibility for the quality and timely delivery of development deliverables * Provide independent **2nd-level support** for applications * Perform **incident management** within agreed working hours ## Required Qualifications * **5–8 years of experience** as a Full Stack Developer with a strong focus on **Java, Spring, and Angular** * Strong hands-on experience developing backend applications with **Java/Spring** * Strong experience developing frontend applications with **Angular** * Very good knowledge of relational databases and **SQL**, particularly **Oracle and PostgreSQL** * Proven experience with **agile development methodologies** and independently delivering features and user stories within a Scrum team * Ability to understand and analyze business requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders and translate them into suitable technical solutions * Experience in technical conception, analysis, and design of **banking-related requirements** * Experience developing and supporting **payment applications in the banking environment** * Experience with **EBICS** and **SWIFT-related solutions** * Experience providing **2nd-level support** and handling **incident management** * Willingness to take responsibility for quality and timely delivery * Open personality with a quick understanding and strong ability to grasp complex topics * **German: C2 level** * **English: B2 level** ## Project Details * **Project duration:** October 2026 to September 2028, with an option for extension * **Workload:** 100% * **Location:** Zurich, Switzerland * **Work arrangement:** Zurich & Remote within Switzerland only * **Project focus:** Banking, payments, Java full-stack development ## Compensation * **EUR 140–200**

Requirements
